Candace Owens calls out Andrew Kolvet over partial chat leak, denies serious intent behind remarks against Erika

On April 30, Candace Owens criticized Andrew Kolvet on her podcast for sharing incomplete chats and accusing her of targeting Erika Kirk. Earlier in the day, TPUSA spokesman Andrew Kolvet shared the screen grab of Aubrey Laitsch and Candace Owens’ chats. As shown in the screenshot, Candace Owens discussed the questions she planned to ask Erika Kirk before their meeting in December last year. Candace told Aubrey that her first question to Erika would be:

“First question: Why did you murder your husband?”

In his caption, Andrew Kolvet said that Aubrey took the screenshot and bragged about it to her friends.

“Funny, you said exactly that to my former employee Aubrey. Yes, Aubrey took a screen grab of your chats and bragged about it to her friends.” Andrew Kolvet wrote.

In her latest podcast, Owens demanded that Andrew Kolvet release complete chats between her and Aubrey. Candace Owens agreed that she sent that question to Aubrey, but it was a text message joke. She claimed that Andrew Kolvet removed that joke from its context.

“Andrew Kolvet, you have my full permission to release the entire conversation because how dare you remove this joke from its context. Okay? And it’s a message that had never been revealed to the public. I stand by it.”

Candace Owens said Andrew Kolvet misrepresented her text message joke

The former Daily Wire host went on to accuse Andrew of misrepresenting her joke as an authentic exchange. The political commentator said that the viral chats are from the time when Erika was going viral with Barry Weiss and Ben Shapiro. She said at the time, asking questions to Erika was equated to accusing her of murdering her husband, Charlie Kirk. Therefore, Candace Owens wrote it as a text message joke while talking to Aubrey Laitsch.

“And he presented it as an authentic exchange despite the cry emojis. I was being asked what questions I planned to ask Erika when we met up at the end of December. So, you recall at this time, this was during the week where Erika was going viral uh for her interview with Barry Weiss for a number of very funny reasons.

She clarified it was an obvious joke and she never asked such a question of Erika Kirk when they met on December 15.

“And they were pushing real hard in the press to assert that asking Erica any questions was despicable off record and it equated to um accusing her of murdering her own husband. Okay, so I sent this as a joke, an obvious joke, which they know is a joke because when I met up with Erica, I never asked this question and I was being funny”

Owens slammed Andrew Kolvet for bringing up private conversations in public. She said:

“So to pretend that that is what Erika was responding to today. How disingenuous can you be Andrew?

Candace Owens once again asked Andrew Kolvet to release the entire chain of messages, as she has nothing to hide.

“Again, I will assert publicly you have my full permission. Go Max. Release the entire chain. I have nothing to hide when I said and I asserted several times there is not a single thing that he can point to that I said on this show that was leaked to me by Aubrey Laitsch like from December 15th.”

Lastly, she said that the public should be the one to judge.

“Release it. Release it all. Let the public judge. I have nothing to hide.”

For those unaware, Aubrey Laitsch is the former employee of TPUSA, who worked at the company for five years. She was removed from Turning Point earlier this year, and she revealed that she was removed for raising doubts about Erika Kirk’s leadership. Candace Owens showed support for Aubrey following her termination.
