Cam and Cayden Boozer in electric State Farm commercial

The Boozer brothers are twins and star on the Duke Blue Devils team gearing up for a championship run during March Madness

For most college basketball stars, the path to national commercials comes later — usually after turning pro. But twins Cameron Boozer and Cayden Boozer are already stepping into the spotlight.

The highly touted freshmen at Duke University recently appeared in a new State Farm commercial alongside the brand’s iconic pitchman, Jake from State Farm, joining a growing roster of elite young athletes featured in the insurer’s marketing campaigns.

For the Boozer twins, the experience felt surreal — something they’d grown up watching from the couch.

“It was a great experience,” Cameron says. “Working with a brand like State Farm is something you grow up seeing in the basketball world.”

Joining elite company

The Boozers are hardly the first college stars tapped by the insurance giant, but the list they’re joining is impressive.

Recent campaigns have featured standouts like Juju Watkins, Cooper Flagg, and Caitlin Clark — names that dominated the college basketball landscape before turning professional.

Being mentioned alongside those athletes is not lost on the Boozers.

“It’s an honor,” Cayden says. “You named some of the best college players out there. Being part of that family with State Farm is super special.”

The twins also follow in the footsteps of longtime State Farm star Chris Paul, whose commercials became a staple of sports television over the past decade.

The ‘Jake from State Farm’ effect

At the center of nearly every modern State Farm campaign is the khaki-clad cultural icon Jake from State Farm.

Working with him, the twins say, made the shoot both relaxed and memorable.

“Jake was super cool,” Cameron says with a laugh. “If you’ve worked with that many great athletes, you’ve got to be pretty easy to work with.”

Cayden agrees, noting that the longtime brand figurehead’s personality helped keep things light during filming.

“He’s funny. Just a really chill guy,” he says. “It made the whole experience even better.”

A creative twist

While details about the commercial’s premise were closely guarded before release, the Boozers hint that the storyline includes a surprising twist — one that reflects State Farm’s signature style.

At first, Cameron admits, the concept caught him off guard.

“I was like, ‘Wait — what?’” he recalls. “Then I was like, ‘Okay, bet.’ It’s definitely funny and creative.”

That unpredictability is part of what has made State Farm’s ads memorable for years, whether featuring NBA stars, NFL quarterbacks, or emerging college phenoms.

Twin power on screen

Another element that makes the ad stand out: the Boozer brothers appear together.

While sibling athletes often share the court, they rarely share the screen in national campaigns. For Cameron and Cayden, filming together made the opportunity even more meaningful.

“Going through this with my twin brother makes it a lot more enjoyable,” Cayden says. “Doing something like this together — it just makes it more special.”

The commercial now joins a growing list of milestones the twins have shared throughout their basketball journey.

From watching March Madness to playing in it

The timing of the commercial also arrives at a pivotal moment in the Boozers’ season.

With NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament approaching, the freshmen are preparing for the intensity of college basketball’s biggest stage.

They grew up watching the tournament every spring. Now, they’re on the verge of competing in it themselves.

“March Madness is huge,” Cameron says. “We’ve been watching it since we were little kids.”

But for now, the twins are staying focused on the present — finishing the regular season strong and preparing for the conference tournament before thinking about the national stage.

“We’re just taking things day by day,” Cayden says. “Be where our feet are.”

Advice for the next generation

Even as their profile grows — on the court and in national advertising — the Boozers say the formula for success hasn’t changed.

Hard work still comes first.

“Watching players you look up to is great,” Cameron says. “But at the end of the day, it’s about putting in the work and the hours.”

Cayden puts it even more simply.

“You can’t replace the work.”

And if their early success is any indication, the Boozer twins are only getting started — whether it’s in March Madness, national commercials, or whatever spotlight comes next.
