What’s next on The Bold and the Beautiful
On Thursday’s all-new episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge returned home to Brooke, fresh off his conversation with Steffy about the idea of her stepping down as co-CEO. Brooke expects Ridge to inform her that the task was successfully completed and that she can step into power immediately. However, the look on Ridge’s face while standing across from his wife tells a different story. That was the portrait of a man who still has yet to officially make one of the most important decisions of his entire life. Does he appoint his wife to the highest position at the office, or does he allow his daughter to remain steadfast at the helm alongside him?
Official spoilers for Friday’s episode tease that Brooke is hopeful Ridge will make the right decision. Brooke admitted to Hope (Annika Noelle) that she was party taking the co-CEO position to help bring Hope for the Future back to life, so there was a lot riding on Ridge’s ability to unseat Steffy from power. Brooke believes that it’s her destiny to lead side by side with Ridge as the next generation of power couple of Forrester Creations. However, Steffy has presented several points about why that might not be best for the company, leaving Ridge with a lot to think about as Brooke presses for a choice to be made.
Will Zende jump ship?
Zende (Delon De Metz) has been an integral part of the Hope for the Future line for quite some time, and aside from Hope and Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), there is nobody who loses out more than him with the latest news. Pushing the line to the back burner indefinitely means that all of Zende’s hard work on the designs was for nothing, and it may never see the light of day. Zende was proud of the work that he and Thomas had made on the line, and now, because of the renewed focus on Eric’s (John McCook) couture line, it will go unrecognized. With so many changes on the horizon at the company, perhaps Zende will be the next to consider jumping ship.
The official preview for Friday’s episode indicates that Zende grows frustrated with his role as a designer. Look for Zende to vent to Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) about his place within the company, and it’s possible that the passion he has for design may need to be channeled elsewhere. Katie (Heather Tom) needs someone to create her next collection, and with another one of Forrester’s designers feeling like he’s not valued at the fashion house, Logan could be the perfect landing spot for Zende. He has the young and edgy vibe that Katie was eager to include at Logan, and he could easily take the fledgling company to the next level.
