Fans might not have gotten over the sophomore season but Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is already on it’s way. Principal photography on season three began around March 17, 2026, shooting under the working title Out the Kitchen, and the New York streets are once again doing double duty as Hell’s Kitchen. The show’s second season wrapped on May 5th and the cameras for season three were already rolling before the finale even aired. If that pace tells you anything, it’s that Marvel has zero intention of slowing down on this one.
The show was officially renewed for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 back in September 2025, though Marvel Studios executive Brad Winderbaum had already opened up in February 2025 that the positive reception to season one gave the studio the confidence to keep the series going annually into the future.. Seasons one and two both launched in March, and Winderbaum has confirmed the intention for Daredevil: Born Again to be an annual release every March, for as long as audiences keep showing up. Season three is tentatively targeting March 2027, with filming expected to wrap in July 2026.
The set photos leaking out of New York are doing a lot of heavy lifting in terms of plot reveals. The biggest one, confirmed in late April, is the Defenders reunion that fans have been waiting years for. Set photos of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 confirmed that Mike Colter and Finn Jones are back as Luke Cage and Danny Rand respectively, joining Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, who had already been confirmed for season two. This marks the first time all four street-level heroes will share the screen since The Defenders back in 2017. Woll, Guevara, Ritter, Colter, and Jones were all spotted filming scenes together in Brooklyn in early April 2026.
What else do we know about Daredevil: Born Again Season 3?
The returning cast list for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 has pretty much everyone we love. Alongside Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll is back as Karen Page, Margarita Levieva returns as Heather Glenn in full Lady Muse mode, Wilson Bethel is back as Bullseye, Arty Froushan as Buck Cashman, and Zabryna Guevara as Sheila Rivera.
Story details are still scarce in the official sense, but between set leaks and showrunner comments, a shape is starting to emerge. Showrunner Dario Scardapane has said the season will return to the street-level, Frank Miller-inspired tone that defined the best stretches of the Netflix original, stepping back from the politically charged mayoral storyline that dominated season two.
We also know that new villains are coming alongside the returning faces of Fisk and Bullseye. If anything, it would be another high octane, buzzing season, as Daredevil: Born Again is known to have.
