Beef Season 2 Episode 3 takes us to Korea, where Dr. Kim, who we now know is Chairwoman Park’s husband, is coming to terms with what’s what. His wife is a billionaire who happens to have control over almost everything in South Korea. She is powerful and has the kind of connections that can make anything go away, even the death of a patient due to her surgeon husband’s mistake. She opines that her husband should have retired. But is still very supportive of him and even seems to truly love him.
Beef Season 2 Episode 3 has a lot of surprises that will keep you guessing what the next plot is. The episode focuses more on relationships, especially Ashley and Austin’s.
Beef also clearly communicates the idea that some marriages are transactional relationships. As could be Dr. Kim and Chairwoman Park’s. But this is not to say there is no love. There are just hidden motives and terms.
Beef Season 2 Episode 3: Chairwoman Park takes control

Josh and Lindsay are bonding in Beef Season 2 Episode 3. They are busy dreaming about turning their barn into a music space and finally making their bed-and-breakfast work, which they now call Bed, Breakfast, and Barn. Josh just has to keep approving those small payments under his late mother’s name. They convince themselves that embezzling a bit of money is not a serious offence. But it only takes one small observation to bring it all crashing down.
The next morning, they even talk about having kids. However, Troy invites them over, and they decide to go for a night. When they arrive, they are surprised at how much the investors are putting into that place. There are Dracula orchids, Japanese soaking tubs, and even the pens in the suites cost 500 dollars each. That’s something they can never imagine in their budget. The tour turns out to be a reality check for their dreams in Beef.
The next morning at their home, Josh gets on a call with Chairwoman Park about his contract extension. He has a discussion with Lindsay before the call, and they both decide to keep his job. Little does Josh know what the call is really about.
Chairwoman Park does not beat around the bush. She asks him about his mother and if she has passed away. Josh’s heart sinks immediately. He realizes his lie has been caught and tells her that he will return the money to her. Chairwoman Park flips the entire situation in her favor in Beef Season 2 Episode 3. Instead of firing or exposing him, she offers him a deal to remain the general manager for three more years with the same pay, sign what she needs, and do exactly as he is told.
Back in Korea, things are serious on Park’s side too. Dr. Kim’s surgical mistake becomes a financial and legal issue. Park starts planning how to cover it up. She has to control the narrative and pay off the right people. She eventually ends up using Josh’s method of moving money.
Beef makes it clear in this episode that Josh has lost the upper hand.
Beef Season 2 Episode 3: Ashley and Austin’s breaking point

Beef Season 2 Episode 3 shows us the growing closeness between Austin and Chairwoman Park’s assistant and translator, Eunice. Austin is clearly drawn to her, and this is evident from the first time he sees her in her therapy clothes. Also, she is superbly flexible, which obviously doesn’t help Austin in trying to find her non-attractive. When he gets home after the session, he does not get into the details of it with Ashley, who throws in the idea of inviting Eunice for lunch to get into the good books of Chairwoman Park.
At lunch, Austin is awfully quiet as the two ladies talk. Ashley notices it and brings him into the conversation. Soon, it’s Austin and Eunice talking about their shared roots. Ashley is noticeably uncomfortable. Back at home, Austin opens up about how the fake license is making him feel and that he wants to rescind his job application in Beef Season 2 Episode 3.
So the next morning, Ashley sneaks into Josh’s office to take back the fake PT license. However, she also finds out that Josh’s mother, Marta Diaz, had passed away, raising her suspicions about Josh. Austin, meanwhile, is at Chairwoman Park’s place, where he had gone to inform Eunice about his decision. He also ends up talking about some unnecessary expenses he noticed in the invoices, which triggers an inquiry into the same. Before leaving, Eunice insists he become the club’s physical therapist because she has seen his videos and thinks he’s knowledgeable enough for the job role.
Ashley returns home in the evening to a happy Austin. He is cooking for her with music on, and Ashley suspects it immediately. Her suspicion becomes stronger when he breaks the news to her that he might, after all, be getting a permanent job at the club. The same is announced at the club the next day in Beef Season 2 Episode 3. Austin is not only accepted but is part of a much bigger plan for the club’s future now. Ashley should be happy, but she is confused and hurt, especially when she sees the way he looks at Eunice. She confronts him in the evening.
Austin does what we all expected he’d do. He chooses honesty and admits that he is attracted to Eunice, probably because of their shared heritage, but he still loves Ashley. She can’t believe what she heard but tries to keep calm. She opens her Instagram and sees that Eunice hasn’t accepted her request but has accepted Austin’s. This flips her out, and she jumps out of the car.
Ashley spirals into a repeated chant of “He’s gonna leave me.” She is overwhelmed, panicking, and trying to process it all. As she stumbles and falls into the water, you are left with this sinking feeling that things are only going to get worse from here in Beef Season 2.
