Disney Night on American Idol has arrived and there are nine contestants remaining who will perform for America’s vote during the April 20 episode.
All of the remaining artists were treated to a day at Disneyland Resort in California while preparing for the latest episode, with appearances from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge being teased for the episode.
Jennifer Hudson, who competed on season three of American Idol, is returning as a mentor and guest judge. After coming in seventh place that season, she went on to become one of the most successful Idol alum of all time. She is the youngest woman to achieve EGOT, winning the Emmy, Grammy, and Oscar, and Tony. She’s now the host of her own daily talk show.
You can expect the contestants to sing songs from movies like Descendants and Toy Story. At the end of the night, two contestants are going to be eliminated, narrowing down the competition to the Top 7.
