
The company’s Other Bets segment, which houses Alphabet’s self-driving vehicle unit Waymo, brought in $411 million for the quarter, down from $450 million in the same period last year. Waymo nonetheless continued to expand its footprint. The unit surpassed 500,000 fully autonomous rides per week during the quarter and launched commercial operations in Nashville. It has also announced plans to enter Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Orlando. A previously disclosed fundraising round valued the unit at $126 billion following a $16 billion raise completed in February.
