Adin Ross revealed plans to launch a GTA 6 roleplay server which will pay players for in-game jobs such as janitor, pizza delivery, or babysitter. Ross stated that this virtual economy could grow so strong that it might replace traditional 9 to 5 work.
The project introduces two clear modes for players. The first one is Hardcore mode which offers a realistic economy where users can earn salaries by working in-game professions. The second one is Free-Roam mode which creates a gang-centered world inspired by SSB world.
The American online streamer began daily streaming on Twitch during his senior year of high school, mostly playing GTA V and NBA 2K. In 2023, Ross was permanently banned from Twitch. The ban was lifted in March 2025, and he returned to streaming. Just days before his first ban, he signed with the streaming platform Kick.

GTA 6: Adin’s vision and real-world concerns
Adin Ross argued that his planned GTA 6 roleplay server could act as a substitute for traditional 9 to 5 jobs because of its built-in crypto and real-money system. He explained that players would not just earn virtual coins but could convert their in-game wages into actual cash or digital currency.
He further believes that if the GTA 6 server grows large and active enough, participants might treat their gaming sessions like full-time employments. It is also being speculated that the hours invested in the server would no longer be just playtime but an actual work with liveable paycheck.
Ross plans to support the server through crypto, sponsorship, and viewer revenue, but players will be reminded that it is meant for entertainment and is not just as dependable income sector. This is a third-party server concept rather than an official Rockstar Games feature. Industry experts caution against leaving real jobs for an unreleased RP server.
Ross’s journey from NBA 2K Origins to GTA 6
Ross rose to prominence after joining the NBA 2K group Always Excelling, where he met the son of LeBron James, Bronny James. There he began playing NBA2K20 with him. His visibility increased dramatically when LeBron James himself made an unexpected appearance on one of Ross’s livestream. As a result, it drew significant attention online.
The collaboration moment between Ross and Bronny marked shift from being a video game streamer to a broader pop-culture figure. Right after it, he began hosting famous internet celebrities, influencers, musicians, and controversial personalities on his streams.
