A new The Boys Season 5 TV spot gives a glimpse of all the high-octane action coming in the final chapter of the seires

Recently, Prime Video has released a new TV Spot for the upcoming The Boys Season 5, and if fans weren’t already excited for April 8 to arrive, they are probably getting that feeling now. The spot is about twenty-seven seconds long, which is not very much time; however, it does manage to achieve what it set out to achieve, and that is effectively to show fans just how much they have missed viewing the show, The Boys, and to give them a little bit of that anxious looking forward to the new upcoming season of the show.

Since The Boys Season 5 is going to be the last one, everything happening in the show seems to have a little more pressure added to it. Season 1 of The Boys was released in 2019 and has created one of the most loyal fan bases in all of streaming shows, but it is now coming to an end. It was announced by Showrunner, Eric Kripke, who stated that he decided that the show would end at five seasons while the show was still in production of Season 3.

Therefore, the ending of the series has been in place for quite some time and was not due to any external pressure for it to end. Knowing that the writers have been working towards this ending for years will give fans some relief that it is not just a rush job.

The initial two episodes of The Boys Season 5 premiere on April 8, 2026, followed by one episode per week until the final airing on May 20, 2026. This is about six weeks of weekly episodes till the full completion of the storyline.

What have the TV spot and trailers of The Boys Season 5 shown so far?

Almost nothing is revealed through a new TV spot for The Boys Season 5. However, when combining all the information from the full trailer that was released earlier this year with the new TV spot, fans can already see what the general direction of the show is going to take.

Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie have all been captured and are being held at a place called Freedom Camp in The Boys Season 5, while Annie is on the outside trying to create some sort of rebellion against the growing power that Homelander has over everything. The location of Kimiko is currently not known, and Butcher gives a new appearance to his entrance, and he is carrying a virus, the same one that possesses the power to eradicate every Supe being existing on earth.

Homelander seeks a source for an ultimate power, the original formula of Compound V; he believes that if he can obtain it, then he will never be able to be killed. Butcher has learned of a virus that will kill even the supes, something that would normally be used only in extreme situations. Knowing that this would kill him as well, because he has retained some of the powers that were granted to him in a prior season, but that will not stop him from using the means to obtain his goal. Two men on a collision path, both willing to sacrifice their lives for what they want; it doesn’t get much higher than that for a show that is ending.

The cast returning for The Boys Season 5

The core cast coming back for The Boys Season 5 this last run includes Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell, Antony Starr as Homelander, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Jessie T. Usher as A-Train, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Chace Crawford as The Deep, Tomer Capone as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko, and Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy.

Very special appearances are in store this season, as well, for those who follow the show. Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins have both been confirmed as guest stars; thus, all three lead actors from Supernatural (Padalecki, Collins, and Jensen Ackles, who is currently a cast member) will once again be together on screen under the direction of Eric Kripke, who created both Supernatural and The Boys. The fans will have a lot to look forward to in everything that the season is going to deliver.

Fans of The Boys are looking forward to the final season, and The Boys Season 5, the last season, will premiere on Prime Video on April 8, 2026.
