On May 4, 2026, the full-length trailer was released by the BBC and Netflix for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2, announcing a premiere date of May 27, 2026. The new season looks like it will provide the excitement that fans of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder have been eagerly waiting for, and appears that Little Kilton will become even more violent and chaotic this season. Pip Fitz-Amobi seems to be getting herself back into trouble after telling herself she was done with such activities.
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 is based on Holly Jackson’s second novel, titled Good Girl, Bad Blood. The second season begins immediately after the Andie Bell case was solved by Pip. Pip created a new podcast discussing the details of the case and has a large audience. However, Pip has made a strong commitment to stop investigating cases.
In the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 trailer, you will find Pip continuing to keep the promise that she made to herself at the very end of Season 1, but then almost immediately seeing that promise completely come undone.
As the trial of Max Hastings draws near, the key witness Jamie Reynolds (portrayed by Eden H. Davies), suddenly goes missing, forcing Pip to race against the clock to search for his whereabouts. The disappearance of Jamie Reynolds also means that Pip is about to find herself back in the situations she was trying to get away from.
What A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season 2 shows and what is the new case about?
The trailer for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season 2 has introduced a podcast where Pip will be using all of her investigative knowledge to help bring to light what happened to Jamie before this by gathering information in real-time. This is a smart, modern twist to a detective drama and sets A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season 2 apart from season 1.
Although Jamie is 24 years old and has been missing before and has returned on his own wish, the police haven’t expressed much concern about him being lost this time. However, Connor Reynolds and his mother both feel that something is definitely wrong this time.
Alongside Eden H. Davies as Jamie, the season brings in two more new faces. Misia Butler is joining as Stanley Forbes, a figure connected to the edges of the investigation. On the other hand, Jack Rowan plays Charlie Green, Pip’s new neighbor who ends up getting pulled into the mystery.
Emma Myers and Zain Iqbal are both back as Pip and Ravi, and from what the trailer shows, their relationship is going to be tested in a very real way as the case takes a heavy toll.
What comes next?
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 is both written and adapted by Holly Jackson herself alongside series creator Poppy Cogan. Holly Jackson was not involved with season 1 at all, so this is a first for her to be part of it. Holly recently spoke out about how excited she is to be involved this time around, and season 2 is, in her words, a lot bigger and much more intense than the first.
All six episodes of season 2 will be available on Netflix exclusively on May 27 worldwide, while those from the UK and Ireland will watch it through BBC Three and BBC iPlayer, with audiences from Germany, Austria, or Switzerland watching through ZDFneo. As season 1 was released in August 2024, with the arrival date of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 approaching, there are incredibly high expectations.
