Electra is definitely NOT Dylan’s friend

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Dylan needs to learn what a real friend is. For that matter, so does Electra. That’s because Electra doesn’t know how to be a friend and Dylan doesn’t know how to recognize when someone is absolutely not your friend.

Say what now, Dylan?

When Dylan (Sydney Bullock) bragged about her first Forrester Creations paycheck while lamenting that she would now have to leave Will’s (Crew Morrow) beach house, we didn’t understand why she felt she had to leave. And then she brought up Electra (Laneya Grace), her friend. Nope, Dylan couldn’t hurt her precious friend any more than she already had. The reality is that Electra is in no way Dylan’s friend.

Is Dylan that desperate for friendship that she’d grovel and sacrifice herself and her happiness for a girl who wanted to throw her out onto the street to eat out of a dumpster and sleep in her car? How is someone like that considered a friend, much less a good person?

Electra has been anything but a friend to Dylan since the moment Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) announced that Dylan danced ballet for Will. “Oh my gosh! How could this horrible girl don some pointe shoes and dance in the living room!? That’s the most egregious betrayal imaginable. And it’s just not proper. Out in the street you go, homeless girl!” And yes, that is exactly what both Ivy and Electra sounded like.

Electra proves our point

Electra, being Electra, even told Dylan that if she wanted to be friends with her, she’d have to move, as if Electra’s friendship was a prize and Dylan would be foolish to give it up. At least this time, Dylan has some money and can afford her own place now, so Electra is not telling her to be homeless again.

We still don’t even understand Dylan and Electra’s great friendship since the entire thing happened off-screen. When were they ever inseparable? And why should Electra even care, since she is busy having romantic dinners with RJ (Brayan Nicoletti) that end in passionate kisses?

Electra just wants everything, doesn’t she? Dylan just wants Will…and Electra’s friendship, the latter of which we don’t know why.
