Nicole Scherzinger is opening up about her faith and the importance of Christianity in her life, one year after she sparked controversy for comments about a Jesus hat.
The Tony-winning actress faced backlash in November 2024 after she commented on an Instagram post from Russell Brand, who celebrated Donald Trump‘s presidential win by wearing a “Make Jesus First Again” hat.
“Where do I get this hat!!!?🙏🏽❤️,” Nicole commented on the post.
Nicole later apologized for the unintended association to Trump and expressed her support for marginalized communities. One year later, she’s reiterating the importance in her faith though.

“I have a wonderful church that I go to in Hollywood. Most of my friends in Hollywood are Christians. I think Christianity does get a bad rap, but I think that’s why, if you’re a true Christian, you have to lead by example and be the light,” Nicole said in a new interview with Variety.
