R&B singer Ginuwine is engaged again, popping the question to 28 year old Miami real estate agent Jannette Escartin during a recent trip to Washington D.C.
A quiet romance leads to an engagement
According to Escartin, Ginuwine proposed a couple of weeks ago while the two were visiting the nation’s capital, and she said yes on the spot. The newly engaged pair describe themselves as happy and in love, and Escartin says their relationship traces back to a meeting in South Florida a couple of years ago. The two kept the romance largely private since then, with only a stray social media exchange hinting that something serious was developing between them before news of the engagement broke this week.
A second walk down the aisle for the singer
This will be the second marriage for Ginuwine, born Elgin Lumpkin, who previously wed rapper Solé in 2003. The couple split in 2015 after more than a decade together, though they have stayed on good terms since the divorce and continued co-parenting their blended family.
