The June 17, 2026 episode of The Young and the Restless delivered more fallout from Diane’s disappearance as Jack took another risky step to keep Patty cooperative. Elsewhere, Nikki questioned Lily’s latest power move, Devon confronted Cane, and Diane continued searching for a way to escape her mysterious confinement.
Patty Wants the House to Herself

Jack understood that he was asking a lot from Kyle and Traci, but them vacating the home was best for everyone. He was never going to uncover Diane’s location if he didn’t do what Patty wanted. Patty raced through the door and threw it in their faces that she needed them gone so she and Jack could focus on their love.
Traci and Kyle were disgusted with Patty for forcing them out to make room for her. However, Patty was living large in her delusion, and she truly believed that her private time with Jack was something he really wanted. Kyle laid his heart out and told Jack that he could never forgive him for doing this to his mother. Everyone was doing their best to convince Patty that this was real and not just an act of desperation to reunite with Diane.
Nikki Questions Lily’s Chancellor Plan

Lily was on the phone at the GCAC with her children about the text they sent their father. She was with Cane when they reached out, and she was pleased that they extended an olive branch to him. There was a lot that he did in the past to alienate his children, so Lily hoped they would be more forgiving toward him.
After Lily got off the call, Nikki approached her regarding her husband gifting her Chancellor. She asked Lily previously what she got in exchange for the staged kidnapping, but Lily had played coy. However, now it was apparent that she didn’t want Nikki knowing about her plan to regain Chancellor.
Lily knew she needed to explain herself to Nikki, but there wasn’t much to explain. She lied to Nikki’s face, but isn’t turnabout fair play? Nikki lied to Lily about the same thing in the past, so why would Lily be forthcoming with her? Also, until recently, there was no indication that Victor was still going to follow through with his promise, so Lily didn’t want to mess things up.
Lily invited Nikki to sit with her so she could explain why she held off on saying anything. Victor had a tendency to go back on his agreements, so she wasn’t willing to do anything to jeopardize it until it was a sure thing. The last thing Lily wanted was to get involved in the marital mess between Victor and Nikki.
Lily was apologetic for Victor blindsiding his wife, but she didn’t feel remorse that she was now in possession of Chancellor. Nikki praised Lily for doing whatever she needed to do to regain her company, but she took issue with the rumor that Cane would serve as its CEO.
Nikki was a bit taken aback to learn that Lily had done such a turnaround on her feelings toward Cane. She was willing to stage a kidnapping to punish him, so this was a drastic shift in attitude. Lily defended Cane as a choice to run Chancellor because it’s what Katherine would have wanted.
Nikki’s headaches returned again, and it was just in time for Traci to arrive with her bags to move into the GCAC. Traci filled them in about Patty moving into the Abbott house, which caught both of them by surprise. Jack believed it was the only way to get Diane home, and Nikki was so worked up that a visit seemed likely.
As expected, Nikki showed up at Jack’s demanding answers about why he allowed Patty to move into his home. She wanted to throw Patty out herself, but Jack pleaded with her to trust him. Sadly, the more Nikki got worked up, the more her headaches consumed her.
Devon Refuses to Trust Cane

At Crimson Lights, Devon ran into his least favorite person not named Mariah. Cane and Devon shared simple pleasantries, and it took only a few moments before Devon took a dig at Cane regarding weaseling his way back into running Chancellor.
Devon put on his miserable face and attacked Cane for fooling Lily into thinking he was a changed man. Cane tried to get through to Devon, but nothing mattered because Devon had his mind made up. Devon wanted to keep Cane at a distance, and he was convinced there was nothing that would change his opinion.
Cane was determined to prove himself through actions, but Devon was firmly stuck in his sour era, so best of luck to him. Devon accused Cane of being arrogant and lacking self-awareness about why he had such a longstanding grudge against him.
Cane claimed that he had put in the work to prove himself to everyone, but the more Devon spoke, the more Cane looked like he wanted to punch his former brother-in-law. Lily showed up to defend Cane from her brother, and it was enough to drive Devon out of Crimson Lights.
Diane Looks for an Escape

Diane wrestled with the doorknob, trying to find a way to free herself from captivity. However, it was a useless effort. Diane scoured the room for some sort of tool that could help her escape. The best she could do was locate a phone protected by a password.
The doctor returned, and Diane made a play to try to get outside, whether through an open window or simply a walk in the fresh air. He agreed to consider it, and that was the best she could get out of him. Diane was ready to play the game and do whatever it took to finish her “treatment.”
Diane told the doctor that she wanted to remain at his home instead of being transferred to another treatment facility. She did a decent job trying to convince him to let her stay there, but he remained adamant that she needed to go to this new location.
