BTS ARMYs Explode Over GRAMMYs’ New Categories. Know Why!

The discourse around the GRAMMYs and its selection process has been nonstop for years. Many artists have shared their disappointment with how the awards choose winners. Even so, the show remains one of the biggest and most influential music events in the world. Now, things have become more heated after the announcement of several new categories. This change has left BTS fans, known as ARMY, very angry. Read on to know more about it.

GRAMMYs’ New Categories Leave BTS ARMY Furious

The Recording Academy recently revealed new categories for the upcoming GRAMMY Awards. One new one is getting a lot of attention online. It is named Best Asian Pop Music Performance.

Some people think this is a good step that shows more respect for Asian music. But many fans are not pleased. They say it puts Asian artists in a separate box instead of letting them join the main categories. For ARMY, this feels unfair. They believe their group should get the same shot as big Western stars in the top categories.

BTS has done very well around the world. They have sold millions of songs, filled big concert halls, and gained fans in many countries. The band even got several GRAMMY nominations and made history for K-pop. However, they have not won any major prizes yet. This has left their fans feeling frustrated for years.

When news of the new category came out, it spread like wildfire on social media. Many ARMYs expressed their anger and asked why the GRAMMYs keep treating K-pop differently.
