Sanchita Ugale’s death has left everyone stunned. The 22-year-old actress committed suicide earlier in June 2026, leaving the entire TV industry shocked. Now, in a candid conversation, her close friend and former co-star, Geetanjali, has opened up about the speculations around her personal life and the months leading up to her death.

Days after Sanchita Ugale’s death, her friend, Geetanjali Mangal, sat down for a candid conversation with Telly Talk India and reflected on the death of her friend. The actress revealed that she is extremely heartbroken by the death of Sanchita and saddened by how the conversation around her demise has been handled. She stated:
“Meri dost bohot kuch kar sakti thi, aur woh kar bhi leti agar woh itni maayus nahi hui hoti. Mai sirf itna request karnungi ki speculations mat karo kuch bhi, kuch bhi apne aap se mat banao, aap logon ko sach nahi pata, kyuki kal se mai social media dekh rahi hun aur itna mazzak banaya gaya hai na. Aur woh log jo itney time se ussey baat bhi nahi kar rahe the, woh ab uss baarey mei baat kar rahe hain.”
The actress even commented on the speculations around Sanchita’s relationships and confirmed that Sanchita was not seeing anyone at the time of her death. While she urged fans not to make assumptions about the late actress’s life, she alleged that something was definitely going on behind the scenes that pushed Sanchita to take such a drastic step. Geetangali was quoted as saying:
“Aap uskey career par question kar rahe ho, aap usko kuch bhi relationships mei daal rahe ho. Kisi relationship mei nahi thi woh. Magar kuch toh torture aaisa bada hua hoga uskey saath uski life mei.”

In the same conversation, Geetanjali talked about Sanchita’s playful personality on the sets of Dangal and claimed that something happened that entirely changed who she was. She claimed that Sanchita was going through a difficult phase and had talked about not wanting to live. The actress asserted that she is ready to show those texts to help with the investigation. However, it can only be done in a proper legal manner. She was quoted as saying:
“Mai chahati hun correct method aur correct way humaare legally aur jurisdiction ho. Agar mujhse koi poochega jo mere paas messages hain uskey ki ‘mai nahi jeena chahati, meri life kahtam ho gayi hai’, woh sab hai, wo mai dikhaungi but social media pe nahi woh mai right person ko dikhaungi, joki jurisdiction hai, jab mujhse ye maanga jaiga. Woh depression mei toh thi, January se ye cheez shuru hui thi.”

In the same conversation, Geetanjali revealed that she contacted Sanchita after returning from Gujarat in late January 2026. She asked the late actress where she had been, since Geetanjali hadn’t heard from her in a long time. However, Sanchita felt emotionally disconnected and even said she was no longer happy with her work. Geetanjali revealed that Sanchita had told her “heart was not in it”.
However, when Geetanjali tried to encourage Sanchita by reminding her of the opportunity, the actor allegedly replied, “No, I do not feel good about anything. What kind of life is this? It feels very torturous to me.” She concluded by admitting that Sanchita was indeed depressed and going through a rough patch.
