What cancer does Jeremy Clarkson have? Clarkson’s Farm star reveals diagnosis

The final two episodes of Amazon Prime Video’s Clarkson’s Farm Season 5 left everybody emotional as Jeremy Clarkson revealed his cancer diagnosis to his young farm worker Kaleb Cooper, his girlfriend Lisa and two other employees.

The fifth season of the British documentary series, which follows the TV journalist, author & presenter, as he attempts to run his 1,000-acre farm in the Cotswolds, bid an emotional goodbye to the fans as the Top Gear host shared this heavy news with Kaleb:

“I’ve got cancer. I had a medical, you remember, back in May? I disappeared off the other week and I had a biopsy and it is cancer and it’s aggressive, but it’s really early so the treatment will be, you know…”

While Jeremy Clarkson maintained that it was unimportant where his cancer was, he later revealed that he had 10 per cent of his prostate removed via ultrasound, suggesting that the beloved TV personality had been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

More on this in our story.

Jeremy Clarkson revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis in Clarkson’s Farm Season 5 finale

In the final episode of Clarkson’s Farm Season 5, the 66-year-old Jeremy Clarkson sat down with his employees Kaleb and Charlie Ireland for a chat about the farm’s harvest. However, the conversation took an emotional turn when a teary-eyed Clarkson revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis. Kaleb, who was clearly shocked by the news, was not ready to accept the reality for a moment, but Clarkson maintained that he had known about the diagnosis since May.

The Clarkson’s Farm Season 5 finale turned even more emotional as Jeremy Clarkson reflected on the year, reminiscing about how he started the year with coronary heart disease. The Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? host revealed that he wanted to get the harvest done before his treatment but time is running out.

When a teary-eyed Kaleb asked about the cancer treatment, Clarkson revealed that he has a blood test scheduled for today, which will likely give him more information about his treatment. He left Kaleb with these hopeful words as the fifth season took its final bow:

“We can dwell as much as we like on all the bad things that have happened on the farm, but I think it’s better now, at the end of the year, to focus on things that have happened that are good.”

Jeremy Clarkson shared an emotional message with his fans

While Jeremy Clarkson had warned fans ahead of the Clarkson’s Farm Season 5 finale that it would be a heavy and emotional watch, nobody was prepared to see the TV host back in a hospital bed as the episode concluded. In the final segment of the episode, Clarkson appeared in a hospital bed, revealing that the treatment would take a while and that he was not certain what would happen next.

While Amazon Prime Video has renewed Clarkson’s Farm for a sixth season, Clarkson left his fans with an uncertain message:

“What I wanted to say was if this [the treatment] is all successful I’ll see you for season six, and if it isn’t I won’t. Take care everyone.”

While Jeremy Clarkson has not shared any updates on his cancer treatment, he is reportedly filming for the next season of the British TV quiz show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
