A’ja Wilson and a Las Vegas team chasing a fifth straight road win meet Paige Bueckers and Dallas
The Las Vegas Aces bring a four-game road winning streak into College Park Center Tonight, where they face a Dallas Wings team that has done enough in the early weeks of the 2026 WNBA season to make this more than a routine regular-season game. Tip-off is at 8 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime Video.
Las Vegas enters at 4-2. Dallas sits at 4-3. The Aces are favored by 5.5 points.
What Las Vegas brings
A’ja Wilson is doing what she does. The reigning MVP is averaging close to 25 points per game and remains the centerpiece of Becky Hammon’s offense and the anchor of the Aces’ defense. Las Vegas is averaging 91.7 points per game, which is 7.3 more than Dallas allows on average, a gap that reflects the Aces’ continued ability to generate offense even when opponents prepare specifically for Wilson.
The most recent data point against Las Vegas is a loss to the Sparks in which Kelsey Plum scored 38 points against their defense. That result aside, the road winning streak reflects a team that has been difficult to beat away from home in 2026.
Dana Evans is listed as out with a leg injury.
Chennedy Carter has been one of the more quietly efficient players in the league through the early portion of the season, shooting 66.2% from the floor, fourth in the league, and 58.3% from three-point range, third in the league. Carter averages 20 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.
What Dallas brings
The Wings’ early-season performance has been one of the more genuine surprises of the year. Paige Bueckers has taken a meaningful step offensively, averaging over 20 points per game while continuing to function as Dallas’s primary playmaker and decision-maker. The addition of Azzi Fudd, her former UConn teammate, gives the Wings a second perimeter scoring threat who can space the floor and make shots off the ball.
Dallas already owns a preseason win over Las Vegas, which gives the Wings a reference point and some confidence heading into a game where they are sizable underdogs on the moneyline at plus-170.
Arike Ogunbowale is listed as questionable with an illness. Alanna Smith is day-to-day with the same issue. Their availability Thursday will shape how Dallas can distribute offensive responsibility if things go sideways against the Aces’ defense.
Jessica Shepard presents a different kind of challenge for Las Vegas inside, averaging 11.7 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game, the kind of combination that creates problems across multiple positions.
The matchup that defines the game
The central question Thursday is whether Dallas’s young backcourt can generate enough against the veteran Aces core of Wilson, Chelsea Gray, Jackie Young, and Jewell Loyd. When the Wings are pushing tempo and making perimeter shots, they have shown they can stay competitive with quality opponents. When they are not, the gap between these two rosters becomes difficult to close.
Slowing Wilson in the post remains one of the harder assignments in the league. Dallas does not have a clear answer for her one-on-one, which means they will need to guard her with help, and that opens up the Aces‘ shooters in ways that can compound quickly.
The total is set at 175.5, with the over slightly favored at minus-118 against the under at minus-110. The Aces’ offensive output and Dallas’s pace-up tendencies when healthy make the over a reasonable projection if both teams are at full strength.
The game airs exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
