Chef Ben Robinson has made multiple headlines recently. It all started with the March 30 episode of Below Deck Down Under. The crew had been prepping for a guest vow renewal that night, a task Robinson found harder than most as his own engagement had collapsed recently.
“Oh, I just missed one. It was my own, clearly, tonight’s dinner is reminiscently triggering for me, but I’m going to put my thoughts behind me,” he shared.
Robinson, now forty-five-years old, didn’t stop there either; he continued to joke that he had
“Already ruined one wedding, and I’m damned if I’m gonna ruin another.”
As per a report shared by Us Weekly, Ben Robinson and Kiara Cabral were engaged back in May 2023, and by September 2024, Robinson had confirmed the wedding was no longer happening. On season four of Below Deck Down Under, he opened up about the reason behind the split.
As per Robinson, Kiara Cabral had been cheating and wasn’t loyal in the relationship.
“I was meant to get married last year. And I caught her — she had been seeing one of my friends for a very long time, I’m more sensitive because everyone’s just f***ing let me down, that’s why,” Robinson shared.

Ben Robinson’s former fiancée, Kiara Cabral, had her own side of the story to tell. On February 20, she posted a TikTok video pushing back against Robinson’s claims that she had been unfaithful during their four-year relationship.
“Everything Ben has said about me on the show is 100% false,” she said.
“I have never and I would never be romantically involved with any of his friends. That’s not the kind of person I am,” she added.
Cabral also flipped the narrative on who ended things between them, claiming she was the one who walked away because of how Ben Robinson had been treating her and what she described as his narcissism.
“There was a lot of trauma I had to deal with from that relationship and honestly, I just want it to be over,” she said.
Cabral shared that while she had since healed from the breakup and hoped Ben Robinson had too, watching the episodes air was bringing up a lot of pain for her.
“I know the show that is airing now was probably filmed a while ago. But now that it’s airing and I’m being demonized, it is really hard on me… I just really want to be in peace,” she said.
As for why she chose to speak out nearly two years after their split, Cabral was straightforward about it in her video caption, writing that she was tired of feeling like she had no voice in her own story, and that the renewed attention had been causing her an
“immense amount of anxiety.”
“I am sick [of] feeling like I don’t have a voice when it comes to my own life, and now I would really like to just move on,” she wrote.

A Bravo report from January 27, 2026, gave fans an early look at Robinson in a confessional on Below Deck Down Under season four, where he was open about what the broken engagement had cost him.
“This might come as a shock to everyone, but I am actually single. Fairly recently, I broke up with my fiancée — having spent $50,000 on a wedding I didn’t attend. It’s odd when your future’s been solidified, for it all to vanish into thin air,” he shared.
“[But] Yachting was a big part of my formative life. It’s actually nice to come back to it,” he added.
He had made the split public on Instagram back in September 2024 with a brief statement that didn’t go into the specifics of what had gone wrong between them.
“We have decided to go our separate ways, and I think that this is the best decision for both of us. I would rather not discuss the reasons behind these decisions, but I feel it’s important for me to express my circumstance,” Robinson wrote.
“I’m excited to continue my culinary inspirations with my non-gaslit cooktop, and trusty blowtorch. After all, nobody deserves a troublesome flame,” he added.
As per a report shared by Bravo on March 3, 2026, Robinson sat down on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on March 2 alongside his close friend and former colleague Kate Chastain, where he confirmed a new girlfriend was in the picture, though he shared nothing about who she was.
“I have found a better half, and I’m very happy right now,” he stated.
