Pooh Shiesty, his father, Big30 and six other people have been arrested for allegedly robbing and kidnapping several victims, including Gucci Mane, at a music studio in Dallas. According to the press release shared by the DOJ on April 2, eight out of nine suspects were arrested for the incident that took place on January 10.
According to TMZ, Pooh Shiesty arranged a meeting at a Dallas studio with three other industry people, including Gucci Mane. At the time, Shiesty was in a recording contract with Mane’s music label. As per the DOJ’s press release, as three victims entered the studio, Pooh Shiesty and his alleged co-conspirators “executed a coordinated armed takeover.”
Shiesty allegedly took out an “AK-style pistol” and forced one of the victims to sign his release from the contract “at gunpoint.” Meanwhile, the remaining suspects reportedly robbed other victims of valuables like cash, jewelry, and other items. One of the charged persons allegedly blocked the door so that the victims could not escape. Shiesty’s father allegedly helped to plan and execute the federal offense.
Lontrell Williams, Sr., is the father of Pooh Shiesty. Shiesty father is a native of Memphis. He founded a record lablel, named ‘Mob Ties Records” and rapped under the name “Mob Boss.” In 2004, Lontrell Williams Sr. was charged as an accessory after the fact to first-degree murder, as per the Hip-Hop Daily.

On Thursday, the US Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Ryan Raybould, briefed the media about the case. Raybould said that when the incident took place, Shiesty was on “home confinement” following the end of his prison sentence from his previous conviction in a firearms conspiracy charge. The attorney said that the suspects went on to show off the robbed items on their social media.
“Electronic monitoring data placing Williams Jr. at the offense location, which would put him in violation of his home detention conditions. cell phone records and license plate reader data corroborating the coordinated travel of multiple defendants from Memphis, Tennessee, to Dallas,” Raybould said.
The attorney shared that the rental car records confirmed that Pooh Shiesty’s father arranged vehicles to be used by the crew.
The arrest came after TMZ reported on Wednesday that the FBI conducted a raid at Shiesty’s house. The rapper was released from prison in October last year after he pleaded guilty to a firearm conspiracy charge that stemmed from the allegation that Shiesty shooting a man in 2020.
