Most prominently, the actor is known for his role as Michael Gray in the popular BBC show Peaky Blinders. He also portrayed the role of Joshua “J” Cody in the TNT series Animal Kingdom and the young Jakob Toretto in F9.
In 2020, the 30-year-old actor was part of the movie Here Are the Young Men alongside Anya Taylor-Joy. The actor was also part of the 2019 film Dreamland alongside Margot Robbie
Among Finn Cole’s latest projects are Last Breath, a biographical movie starring Woody Harrelson and Simu Liu.
Born on November 9, 1995, Finn Cole was raised in Kingston, London, as the fourth of five brothers. It was not acting that sparked an interest in Finn as a young boy, as he was more inclined to become a boatman, just like his father.
However, when he started attending school, he discovered he had a “kick” from entertaining. In his 2016 conversation with Interview magazine, he revealed:
“I first became interested when I was in school. I was surrounded by people who were into acting. I had a teacher who I got along with, one of my favorite teachers, and he got me into it. Trying to entertain was something I always got a kick from. It excited me quite a lot. Growing up, it was a hobby, always something I did with friends—we’d put on shows. Then I joined the National Youth Theatre when I was 17, which was great ’cause we it’s a bunch of young people like myself.”
Finn Cole considers Peaky Blinders his “first real experience of acting”
Speaking of Peaky Blinders — where he portrayed Michael, the son of Polly Gray and cousin to the Shelby siblings — Finn Cole shared that the Birmingham gangster epic series was his “first real experience of acting.”
“That was the most intense experience. In those situations, you learn so quickly, and I did. My brother had the script for the second season—they had already done the first—and he said there was a great part for me. One thing led to another, and I found myself in the audition room with Colm McCarthy, Shaheen Baig, and Laurie Borg.”
Meanwhile, Florence Pugh and Finn Cole have been sparking relationship rumors since 2024 with their quiet romance. In fact, the two celebrities have known and shown support for each other since around 2017.
In July 2024, Florence Pugh and Finn Cole attended the Glastonbury Festival, where they reportedly acted like a couple. The actor also showcased his support for Pugh when he attended the London premiere of Pugh’s movie, Thunderbolts, in April 2025.
On Tuesday, Mar. 31, the pair finally made their relationship Instagram official. The Dune star, 30, uploaded a carousel of photos, including one where they are posing closely together, with Cole looking at her affectionately. Pugh also wrote in her caption:
“Bvlgari with my boys. Milan, I like your late night pizza.”
Cole also debuted the actress on his account, featuring Pugh in her elegant lime-green silk dress. He left a simple caption:
“Bvlgari in Milan”
