Cardi B and Offset went public with their split seven years ago, but their final separation came in July 2024 after years of an on-and-off relationship. The same year, Cardi B also filed for divorce from the rapper. The couple shares three children together named Kulture, Blossom, and Wave.
As per the recent reports, Offset was shot near Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Florida, and is now in stable condition. His representative also gave an update about the rapper in a statement to Variety saying:
“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored.”
In a statement to TMZ, the Seminole Police Department’s representative said:
“We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.”
Cardi B and Offset relationship timeline explored
Cardi B and Offset started dating in February 2017, soon after he got featured on her song “Lick.” The couple soon went official and even attended the Met Gala together. The same year, in September, reports came, suggesting that the couple secretly tied the knot.
However, neither Cardi nor Offset publicly spoke about the same. Towards the end of the year, Cardi was proposed by the rapper. Revealing the news to the fans, she wrote on Instagram:
“I can’t wait to spend FOREVAAAA with you. Lets make a lot shmoney and love together.”
A few months into the engagement, the rapper was suspected of cheating on Cardi. Cardi talked about it publicly on social media, writing:
“No, it’s not right for a to cheat…But what you want me to do? Go fu*k me another nig*a? Start all over again and get cheated on again? This sh*t happens to everyone and I be too, you too…People handle they relationship different soo.”
In July 2018, Cardi and Offset confirmed they are legally married and also welcomed their first daughter, Kulture. While everything was going fine between the two, Cardi filed for the divorce two years into the marriage and called the divorce off a few months later.
In 2021, the couple welcomed their second child, Wave. Two years ago, Cardi B again separated from the rapper and filed for a divorce. The same year, Cardi B welcomed her third child with the rapper and named her Blossom. Sharing the news, she wrote on Instagram:
“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do!”
Speaking of the divorce, she said in the Aspire With Emma Grede podcast last month:
“I feel like last year a new person was reborn. I don’t know if it was the divorce. I don’t know if something woke me up. I feel like I’m definitely a new person.”
