Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful
The Bold and the Beautiful is pulling out all the stops so that RJ and Electra work as a couple when they most definitely do NOT work as a couple. First, they have no chemistry, but that is beside the point. The main reason they do not work is that they are cousins who share the same last name. RJ and Electra have made sure to mention they are not blood-related multiple times now and have addressed the last name thing. They do not seem to care that they both have Forrester as their surname, but apparently, the soap thought it needed to do more. So, now Ridge doesn’t even see anything Forrester in his son. Instead, he sees Massimo Marone, Ridge’s biological father. See, if it turns out that RJ resembles Massimo and not the Forrester clan, that means that he can be with Electra now and everything is solved. Except that it’s not. Electra and RJ are still cousins. Electra and RJ have the same legal last name. And Electra and RJ will be attending the same family gatherings together as Forresters, which means they should not be dating. General Hospital is having the same issue right now as it tries to justify two teenage cousins dating. But if soaps would stop pairing cousins, then there wouldn’t be a problem to solve.
