For All Mankind Season 5 has gotten pretty intense and beyond messy after Episode 2. Episode 3 will be released on April 10, 2026, on Apple TV, and I know we’re all excited to see what happens to Ed…and the choice he made in the previous episode.
Episode 2 of the Apple TV series left Ed in a really bad state (health-wise). Apart from Ed’s health, the politics on Mars have become even more unstable. Now, Episode 3, titled “Home,” is expected to deal with the fallout of the previous episode.

Season 5 (now in the 2010s) changes a lot for the show, because Mars is not a mission anymore. In fact, the planet is filled with people, an actual colony, with rules of its own.

The fallout from Episode 2 and what “Home” brings next
Episode 2 of For All Mankind Season 5 started with Yoon Tae-Min’s murder turning into a legal mess as well as a proper political nightmare. Lee Jung-Gil became the main suspect (which we saw in Episode 1), but his arrest never fully added up. Ed trusted him anyway and chose to stand by that call.

At the same time, Officer Celia Boyd also goes out to look for more answers because her instincts tell her that something does not add up at all. Her investigation led her to hidden surface operations that were never supposed to exist in the first place, and this alone hints that Yoon’s death is connected to something bigger than just a mere personal conflict.
Things get even worse when the M6 nations decide that Lee should be sent back to Earth for trial, which basically means a death sentence (even if one agrees to this or not), and Ed does not want to accept that. So, he pulls off a risky interception, gets Lee to safety, but his own health falls apart right after.
For All Mankind Season 5 Episode 3, titled “Home,” is set to deal with all that happened in Episode 2. As the synopsis puts it,
“The consequences of Ed’s actions begin to play out. Aleida finds an unexpected solution to her problem.”
This only suggests that we’re about to dive a lot deeper into what is up with Ed, as well as get a major shift in Aleida’s story.
Episode 3 of For All Mankind Season 5 is coming right after one of the most nail-biting turns this season has taken so far. With Ed’s health being uncertain and Mars facing serious political pressure, everything points toward bigger consequences ahead.
