General Hospital’s Drew (Cameron Mathison) is still stuck in that chair while Willow is busy building a cleaner, shinier version of her life one room away, like he’s already been filed under “handled.” However, somewhere off-screen, Mathison is standing in a snow-dusted postcard, cheerfully teasing a project that feels like it belongs to an entirely different universe.
General Hospital fans move from Drew’s chaos to Christmas clues
Great American Family shared a video on Instagram teasing Mathison’s latest project and wrote, “The only thing cooler than this movie location is the cast we have starring in it! Who do you think is joining Cameron Mathison? Drop your guesses below!” In the video, Mathison kept it simple and just a little chaotic: “Merry Christmas, everybody. On set of a new Christmas movie. This is for Great American Christmas 2026. I can’t wait for you to see it.”
Then came his tease: “But who am I working opposite? Who is my co-star, my love interest in this movie? Well, what you can do is you can just guess and put your guess in the comments below, and we will announce it very shortly.” He wound things down by noting that there was a lot of work going on at the set.
Ultimately, he had to get back to shooting and wished his fans a Merry Christmas. That was all it took. The actor himself jumped in with “Woo hooooo,” which didn’t exactly narrow anything down but did confirm he’s having a great time while the rest of us are over here watching Drew blink for survival.
Who is the mystery co-star?
The comments turned into a full casting free-for-all. @jennygussy went with, “Let’s go with Danica! We shall see soon. Doesn’t matter who, it will be amazing,” while @patty_grainger pushed for, “Would love to see you and [Alison Sweeney] together again!!” Others threw out names like Jill Wagner, Jennie Garth, Jessica Lowndes, and Laura Osnes, like they were drafting from a very festive shortlist.
At some point, the guessing became less about being right and more about just joining in. @moomoogirl32 dropped, “Allison Sweeney or Candace Cameron Bure,” and then a wave of Bure guesses followed, as if everyone suddenly got on the same wavelength.
Some leaned into variety. @cruzinchele wrote, “Doesn’t matter really GAF has so much fabulous talent. Would love to see Merritt Patterson, or maybe Jessica Lowndes,” while @ladybugstar50 covered all bases with, “Candace, Allison, Danica, Jill.”
And then there were the wild cards. @dianereilly2019 joked, “Willow Tate! Lol,” which, honestly, would be one way to really blur the lines between Port Charles and Christmas movie logic.
