Days of our Lives spoilers for Thursday, April 9, 2026, tease a big day in Salem as a long-dead character finds brand-new life. She is one of Stefano’s many children, so this shouldn’t be seen as unusual at all.
What to expect on Days of our Lives
Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) was absolutely stunned when he saw his mother seemingly just sleeping in a bed in the DiMera tunnels. When he learned that EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) and Rolf (Richard Wharton) had found a way to bring her back to life, Theo wasn’t sure what to think. He just knew that he had to please Lexie, which meant that he couldn’t be DiMera CEO.
Now that he is unemployed, Theo sits with Lexie (Nikki Crawford) and holds her hand. He talks to her, hoping that she can hear him. EJ told him that speaking to Lexie could speed up her great awakening and it turns out that he was right. Theo can’t believe his eyes and ears when Lexie opens her eyes and speaks his name for the first time in nearly 15 years. It is a miracle indeed, but how will Abe (James Reynolds) react?
EJ and Gwen (Emily O’Brien) are absolutely thrilled that their experiment worked and celebrate all the money they think they are going to make.
Trouble for Theo’s family
While Theo experiences the shock of his mother coming back to life, his father and his stepmother argue. Abe and Paulina (Jackee Harry) are in opposite camps again and odds are, this is about EJ and Theo. Paulina is the one who encouraged Theo to take the DiMera CEO job and Abe made a deal with EJ to remedy that.
EJ made sure that Theo quit, so which one isn’t happy about the latest turn of events? Paulina knows what EJ is really up to, so why would she want Theo to continue in his job?
As for Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens), Johnny is pleased and surprised when Chanel doesn’t have a bad reaction to him becoming the new CEO now that Theo has quit. That was not the reaction that Johnny was expecting at all. It looks like EJ’s adoption hearing gamble has paid off.
