Days of our Lives’ Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) often returns to Salem to show up for family, stay in his lane, and not actively make things worse, which already puts him ahead of his own track record. Off-screen, Dattilo proved that even a routine snack run can spiral into something far more dramatic, and he didn’t keep that experience to himself.
Days of our Lives energy meets a kiosk meltdown
Dattilo shared a video on Instagram and wrote, “Enough with the kiosk.” He explained how he finished hitting a few golf balls, got hungry, and headed to grab food, only to be greeted by two kiosks and a vague offer of help. “So I start punching the kiosk chicken finger fries, trying to find it, go through the whole breakfast menu,” he stated, adding, “Then I finally find the chicken finger fries, push that, and then it won’t let me out.”
Meanwhile, a guy behind him sighed his way into cutting the line and ordering directly from an employee, followed by another woman who asked if she could just order while he “struggles through this.” By the time someone finally explained the sauce button situation, Dattilo had reached his limit. He explained, “I said, I’m out, and I walked out, and that’s it. I got some freaking Jack in the Box.” Ever the diplomat, he ended his rant with, “So kiosk that.”
The struggle is real, and everyone has a story

Fans didn’t just relate, they felt personally attacked. @rodchav wrote, “I agree. I hate being forced to use Kiosks to order.” @tinakelly21 said, “I feel like I’m watching a one-man show.” @shawnhuber3 asked the real question: “Did it also ask for a tip? Lol.” @azsharin added, “Maybe you should call Sami.” (Revisit Lucas’ visit for Doug’s (William Hayes) funeral.)
Others leaned into the chaos. @vegasgirl4life broke it down from a customer service angle, @maureen_b_19 zeroed in on “Kiosk that,” and @jesyka_mari admitted, “Why do I feel this struggle on every level.”
Some got philosophical. @joeburnsphotography said, “Humans are making themselves replaceable,” which feels like a lot to unpack over chicken fingers. Others kept it simple, like @victorianot_beckham71: “I LOATHE THOSE KIOSKS!!!”
And then there was the comment that landed exactly where it needed to. @drkimhonnick wrote, “It seems like the kiosk was harder to deal with than Sami,” which, frankly, might be the most accurate review of both situations anyone’s offered. And @redwingfan30 threw in a line that was perfect for the situation, “And those are the Days of our Lives,” with a crying-laughing emoji.
Days of our Lives is available on the Peacock streaming app.
