“I had always dreamed of doing a project like that. I had always known I wanted to do a superhero movie at one point,” she told Deadline on the carpet. “I think at one point, I’m a very… I like to workout, I’m into fitness, I’m like, ‘Oh, I really want to do something where I get to use that part of myself.’ I really got to do that here.”

“It was so challenging. I learned so much about my body and about nutrition and fitness,” she continued. “I felt like I was really in my element doing that film. I also just really love the story, the execution was really strong. It has a sense of humor, but it also isn’t completely one big joke. The tone of it, they just did such a good job with striking that balance, and I think people are really going to like it.”

In another interview on the carpet with Variety, Camila gushed over her co-star Nicholas, and dished on the training for the movie.

“What a talent. He’s such a sweetheart. I’m so excited for people to see him in this movie. It’s really something special,” she told Variety‘s Marc Malkin. “I was lucky enough to see [his] transformation from the beginning. We were there for two months in London, training every day together, so we were in it together the whole time.”

“But even when I got there, he got there maybe two weeks, a month or so before me, I don’t even remember, but by the time I got there, it was like he was a different person,” Camila continued. “I was so amazed about the transformation, just from the few weeks that he went before me, and the end product was just incredible. I’m really excited for people to see him in it.”

“Oh yeah. I did a lot of [action]. It was really, really fun,” she dished. “I had a few big stunts that I got to practice for months. It was a very rigorous training process. I never had to train for something like that before and do a lot of stunt training. I felt like I was in boot camp. It was awesome.”

She also teased that she may have signed on for more movies. “Hopefully there will be more! We’ll see what happens.”

Masters of the Universe wrapped filming back in June and is slated to hit theaters on June 5, 2026. Find out who else is in the cast!
