Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 cast and characters

Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 is finally almost here and the cast just got a whole lot bigger. In season 2 we are getting a ton of new characters while bringing back the crew we already know.

Executive producers Christine Boylan and Jabbar Raisani have already teased us quite a lot about the season, and how higher the stakes will be with new villains, new alliances and more complex storylines. Speaking to Tudum, they have stated,

“There’s no war in Ba Sing Se,. For the Gaang, fans can expect more brilliant plans from Sokka, even more masterful bending from Katara, Appa and Momo to be as fluffy as ever, and Aang to learn a new bending form (or two). We’re going to challenge our characters with more complex and nuanced obstacles as they navigate a more tactile world. Just as the animated series matured and progressed, the live-action will also take these characters and worlds and grow them.”

If you’ve been wondering who’s showing up in the second season, whether we’re finally getting the villains we’ve been waiting for or just more supporting players, then here’s your complete breakdown of who we’ll see this season. Daniel Dae Kim is back as Ozai, our favorite villain in Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 who is feisty, fierce and at the same time we can’t help but love him. He’s less present in day-to-day scenes but casts a massive shadow over the conflict. Speaking to Tudum about how season 1 made way for season 2, the actor stated,

“I thought it was really clever of the writers to end Season 1 in that way, because you want to get a sense that the universe of the show is expanding with every season,. And they really did a good job of that with that cliff-hanger and also created a sense of urgency and time.”

Elizabeth Yu as Princess Azula
