ABC is all set to release the season-finale episodes of its biggest shows. Some of these shows include 9-1-1, Grey’s Anatomy, High Potential, and The Rookie, which has earned a strong fan following over the years.

ABC’s 2026 season-finale dates in one place
The ABC’s season finale starts with High Potential‘s Season 2 finale, which is scheduled to air on April 7. The series, created by Drew Goddard, released the first episode of season 2 last year in September and consists of twenty episodes in total.
One week after that, ABC is scheduled to release the finale episode of Scrubs on April 15. Speaking of the new season, if renewed, Zach Braff told TV Insider:
“I know the fans have been really eager to see John again, and I really want everyone to know he’s coming back. I can’t give away spoilers, but what we’re teeing up is a situation where, if we’re lucky enough to get a Season 2, he can be around a whole lot more.”
ABC is set to release 3 season finales on April 21, which include the finales of Abbott Elementary Season 5, Shark Tank Season 17, and The Greatest Average American. While it’s not confirmed whether The Greatest Average American will get a Season 2, Abbott Elementary has already been renewed for another season, as reported by Variety last month. Additionally, Shark Tank has also started its casting for another season. The casting call reportedly reads:
“For almost two decades, Shark Tank has turned garage ideas into global powerhouses and elevated innovators from every corner of America. Now we’re ready for the next breakout success.”
RJ Decker, which soon became a hit after its release, is also releasing its final episode on April 28, bringing the first season to an end. As of now, the series has not been renewed for another season.
The release of the finale episode of The Rookie Season 8 is scheduled for May 4, followed by the Will Trent Season 4 finale on May 5.
On May 7, ABC is all set to release three season finales, which include the finales of 9-1-1 Season 9, 9-1-1 Nashville, and Grey’s Anatomy Season 22. Good news for the fans, as all three shows have already been renewed for another season. However, the official release date of the upcoming season is yet to be announced.
American Idol Season 24 will release its season finale episode on May 11. While there’s no official release date confirmed for the next season, it is likely to be released next year. Speaking of Season 24, Keke Palmer told Billboard:
“It was an honor. I grew up watching the show. It’s a staple. When you think of American television, you think about American Idol. As a fan of pop culture and culture in general, I loved American Idol and know what it did to the music industry, what it did for television and what it meant to be able to live your dreams. One of the things we love about it is the narrative, peoples’ stories.”
