Episode 1 of Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 starts with Coop and his family on a vacation. While Coop is waiting at the bar of the hotel, Mel arrives and sits beside him. Coop asks about the kids, but Mel states that both Hunter and Tori are in their own worlds.
Mel and Coop discuss their situations and that they will have to leave soon, as the trip is over. They also discuss their past as Mel tells him that she had expected that she would have figured her life out by this time. However, their conversation takes a negative turn when Mel understands that Coop had different motives for sitting at the bar.
This episode of Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 continues with Coop sitting at the bar and pondering how he is sitting at the five-star resort when he “could’ve been serving 25 years to life”. It cannot be denied that things are on the “upswing” for Coop. The episode then continues with Coope narrating the things that he did in the past.
He also speaks about how this whole situation has changed his social dynamic, while Sam Levitt’s life has become the complete opposite. She now has to take on community service for her actions. This episode of Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 continues with the arrival of Owen Ashe. Owen is house hunting and comes across Reenie while looking for a new house. Reenie takes him inside the Levitt household.
Samantha is also present in the house as the realtor. However, Ashe does not like the house, and when he voices his opinion, Samantha informs him that it is her house and that her husband killed himself in the very same house as well. This sparks a conversation between Samantha and Ashe as Ashe notes that he also had some past incidents involving the law. Samantha and Ashe’s dynamic shifts as Ashe asks Sam to take him to the next house as the realtor, which Reenie is not quite happy about.
This episode of Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 continues with Tori meeting Jeff Pratt, from the Princeton Alumni Schools Committee, for an interview. Tori’s ruthless words completely baffled Jeff, and the interview ended with Tori informing Jeff that she wants to continue playing tennis. On the other hand, Ashe reaches a different house with Sam, which completely baffles him. He likes the house and decides to take it right away.
He also adds that he will be paying cash and needs to close the deal by Monday. While Tori is taking interviews for Princeton, her father, Coop, is at the Hemmings’ house to steal. Elena waits for Coop outside the house. Coop keeps searching for the expensive pen. However, things take a turn when the pen falls, and the moment Coop tries to retrieve it, his back injury acts up, making him unable to stand up.
Elena enters the house to help Coop, but she is unable to do so. She has no other choice but to call Barney to help Coop stand up. Barney is completely shocked to find out that instead of taking his job at Bailey Russel, Coop is stealing houses with Elena. This episode of Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 continues with Mel coming back home from a date that did not turn out as she had expected. On the other hand, Barney meets with his father-in-law at his new apartment.
His father-in-law tells him about Grace being worried about him, along with the flawed business model that he has. Mr. Park is not happy with the work that Barney does and keeps humiliating him. At the sauna, while listening to his friends discuss about his injuries and declining health conditions, Coop also ponders the same. Right at that moment, one of his friends talks about Owen and the fact that Sam sold the house to him for 20 million. Coop tries to act unfazed by it.
This episode of Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 continues with Mel meeting Ali. Mel tells her about the situation she is facing because of her menopause. Mel also informs Ali about the new opportunity for work, which might open up new doors for Ali and help her progress further in the field.
