Here’s what went down Thursday, April 16, 2026 on Beyond the Gates when Kat had to stuff a ChelseaKat purse with Valium, Joey wanted the girls to play nice, and Martin faced “Kenneth” once again.
What happened on Beyond the Gates
On Beyond the Gates, Kat and Chelsea expertly handled a video call, which resulted in ChelseaKat being included in a Tokyo fashion event. While Kat wanted to celebrate, Chelsea got moody and worried that the medical malpractice suit against Madison might end up reflecting poorly on the company, tanking the progress it had made. Kat almost bought into the paranoia, but then noted that even after Chelsea’s mother had shot up a wedding and Chelsea herself had been kidnapped, her followers hadn’t abandoned her. Chelsea realized Kat was right and began to relax.
Emotionally scarred
Bill brought Hayley to the club for breakfast and tried to make conversation with Nicole, who was cold. Hayley gushed about Kat’s deal with Fenmore’s, recalling how, as a girl, she’d pressed her face to the window of Fenmore’s department store; she’d dreamed of owning gowns by Forrester Creations and Barbara Ryan Originals, but had only ever gotten Spectra Fashions knock-offs at best.
Afterwards, Bill saw that Hayley was restless and noted that Hayley hadn’t been sleeping. Hayley brushed it off and claimed she had been naïve to become friends with Lynette, whom Bill knew had suddenly disappeared. Bill wanted to find her, but Hayley talked him down, taking off after she got an emergency text from Randy.
Dani and Andre cuddled at home; later, with Andre out of the room, Naomi arrived and made an issue of Bill calling Dani “baby” on the phone the previous day, which had annoyed Hayley. Andre returned but listened in as Dani denied still wanting to reunite with Bill. Naomi was stunned when Andre confronted her on the topic; he then chuckled, as he’d only been putting her on. Dani agreed that she and Andre weren’t jealous types, and that their marriage was solid. Naomi came to see that that was true.
Martin was at the club waiting for Andre to show up for their golf game when Bill approached, chortling about the rumor that Martin wanted to run for the Senate after his presumed Congressional re-election. Bill thought the move a bad idea given Martin’s “checkered past” and warned that he would be scrutinized more than ever if he attempted it. Then Andre entered; after Bill wrote him off as “Dani’s student project,” Andre declared he was aware that Bill had called Dani “baby” and laid down the ground rule that only he was allowed that term of endearment.
Hate on me
At the casino, Vanessa was pissed because Lynette, who had been very eager about buying the penthouse, was suddenly avoiding her calls. Joey suggested that he and Vanessa go on vacation together…but not before Vanessa took the initiative to patch up her friendship with Nicole. Meanwhile, Martin was advising Nicole to do the same thing with Vanessa.
Vanessa ran into Nicole at the hospital and tried to extend an olive branch, but became frosty when Nicole refused to accept Joey as her boyfriend. Nicole wanted to be happy for Vanessa; Vanessa retorted that Nicole could only be if Vanessa lived according to Nicole’s rules. When Nicole sighed that they seemed to be at an impasse, Vanessa asked Nicole if she thought their friendship was worth saving.
Hayley met Randy at Uptown to hear words Randy would only utter in person: if anybody asked Hayley where Lynette was, Hayley was to say she had no idea. Randy produced Lynette’s phone and texted as Lynette to tell Vanessa to leave her alone; he added that the less Hayley knew about Lynette’s situation, the better. After Randy announced that Lynette was gone “for good this time,” Hayley toasted being “free of that bitch.”
I’ll whip ya head boy
Lia called Ren and demanded that he take care of “Rashad,” fuming that the newbie courier had tried to change the pick-up location with their runner. Once Ren promised Lia that “Rashad” would be handled, Nicole asked for a few moments with Lia, wondering why Detective Marcel had interrogated her after Lia said the matter of the hack into Nicole’s laptop would be handled internally. Lia dismissed Nicole’s concern, saying it was more important to find out who had gotten into Nicole’s computer…and why.
Jacob wandered between empty containers and texted Naomi to set up a meeting at the motel. Ren found Jacob and growled that he wasn’t supposed to be there. Putting on his street persona, Jacob said that he’d only come to that particular spot to meet Angelo, who had flaked on him. Ren revealed that he knew “Rashad” had tried to change his meeting place, punching and kicking him as a consequence. Jacob writhed on the cement in pain.
