Josslyn needs to be put in her place

General Hospital’s Carly and Nina were once heavily involved in what became known as “The Granny Wars.” Well, this week, they find themselves in the same boat again, as each has ungrateful daughters who can’t appreciate their mothers. While Josslyn is not setting up her mother to take the fall for a crime, she does need an attitude adjustment, which is nothing new for this Gen Z player.

Josslyn, do NOT talk to your mother that way

One day, we want Josslyn to have a daughter just like her. How would she feel if her daughter talked to her in the condescending and belligerent way that Josslyn speaks to Carly? Josslyn has had two personas of late. One persona is a ditzy college blonde who asks too many questions that cause some people to raise eyebrows. Her other persona is her natural self. Gruff, full of attitude, and believing she can say and do whatever she wants, whenever she wants.

Josslyn sure was her natural self when she barged into Carly’s kitchen making demands. She wanted to see Valentin and was not about to take no for an answer. She chastised her mother some more for her choices, treating a grown woman who raised her like she was a child.

When Carly did not want to allow Josslyn to see her attic boyfriend, Joss informed her mother that she could get around her. Just what did that mean, Carly wanted to know. Was she going to physically push her mother out of the way? Maybe drop-kick her?

Josslyn needs to learn her place

At that point, Josslyn was lucky that Carly wasn’t doing the drop-kicking. What adult would even dare to talk to their mother that way? Especially one who is a college student not yet completely out there on her own. Sure, she may be a WSB agent, but even agents have some respect for their elders, especially their mothers.

This just lends to a larger problem with Josslyn that nobody wants to admit. She’s just not a very nice person. And she is also not a very good super spy. Carly knows that Josslyn is about to get herself killed, which is why Valentin has been living with her all these months. He will take care of Carly and Josslyn, and we are forever grateful because he is the best attic boyfriend you can find.
