Days of our Lives’ Javi and Dimitri are not the men for Leo and they both made that clear over the last week. We have had issues with Dimitri from the start, and with Javi since January. Both men can turn on a dime and that is something Leo doesn’t need in his life.
Days of our Lives’ has been trouble for months
Javi (Al Calderon) has been in the doghouse with us since his New Year’s Eve wedding. Not five minutes after pledging his undying love for Leo (Greg Rikaart), his groom’s ex, Dimitri Von Leuchner (Peter Porte) showed up and Javi immediately decided that his brand-new marriage was over. Instead of sharing a wedding night at the Salem Inn, which Leo still wanted to do, Javi ran off to sulk on a park bench.
Despite Leo telling Javi he loved him, Javi refused to believe Leo and took the first opportunity he could to leave town. His dad needed heart sugery, so Javi took off for Texas on his own. Leo offered to go with him, but Javi said he needed space and Leo chose to respect him.
But Dimitri was still in town and wanted Leo back. Leo couldn’t deny the attraction, so he helped Dimitri clear his name and nearly began a new romance with him. Too bad Leo wanted Javi, so he told Dimitri the truth, only for Dimitri to turn on him and emotionally abuse him. And then there is Javi.
Javi can’t be serious
Leo was thrilled to see that Javi was back in Salem. Imagine Leo’s surprise when he poured out his heart to Javi only to learn that Javi was now with someone else. Yep, Javi jumped to conclusions after one phone call, assumed that Dimitri and Leo had officially reunited, and moved on. Just like that.
He even had the gall to thank Leo for showing him he wanted a healthy and committed relationship. Well, he was already in a healthy and committed relationship with a man he pushed away. If anyone is to blame for all of this, it’s Javi, a man so avoidant that he wasn’t even going to tell Leo that he was in town.
It’s time for Leo to find a whole new love interest because Javi and Dimitri aren’t cutting it.
