The franchise eliminates gradients, retires the bone uniform and sharpens its iconic logo.
The Los Angeles Rams have been one of the most discussed teams in the NFL this offseason, and not entirely for what happens on the field. Today, the franchise officially unveiled its long-anticipated uniform and logo refresh, delivering a cleaner and more confident visual identity that directly addresses years of fan criticism dating back to the team’s full rebrand in 2020.
4 key changes in the new look
The update covers both logos and uniforms, and 4 specific changes define the refresh.
The first is 1) the removal of the gradient from the primary LA monogram logo. The updated mark is now rendered in solid yellow rather than the fading, multi-tone treatment that drew consistent criticism since its introduction. The logo also comes to a sharper point at the tip, giving it a crisper finish overall. The secondary ram head logo has been similarly sharpened, featuring a more aggressive expression, a more pointed horn, and yellow eyes that add intensity to the overall look.
The second change is 2) solid yellow numbers on the jerseys. Both the royal blue and white primary jerseys now carry solid yellow digits on the front and back, replacing the gradient treatment that had been one of the most commonly cited complaints from fans since 2020. The gradient on the pants has also been removed, contributing to the cleaner overall aesthetic.
The third update is 3) a curling horn on the sleeves. The full modern horn sleeve, which was introduced on the Midnight Rivalry alternate uniform last season, has now been added to both primary jerseys. Additionally, a Sol monogram has been incorporated into the neck tag, and each jersey features a tag on the back displaying the new solid-yellow LA logo.
The fourth and perhaps most notable change for many fans is 4) the retirement of the bone uniform. The off-white alternate set was a consistent source of frustration since its debut in 2020 and was largely phased out during the team’s Super Bowl championship run in the 2021 season, when the Rams wore their modern throwback uniform in the win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Its official removal from the rotation closes a chapter that never fully won over the fan base.
What else is new
The helmets remain largely unchanged but now feature updated 3D bumper logos on the front. White has been added as a primary pants option, opening the door for all-white uniform combinations the team had not previously been able to wear. The team’s colors, Royal and Sol, remain unchanged.
This refresh is not the end of the uniform evolution for the Rams this year. Two additional alternate uniform designs are expected to be revealed later this summer, giving the franchise further flexibility in its game-day rotation heading into the 2026 season.
The updated uniforms and merchandise are available now at RamsFanShop.com and select retail locations. Draft hats featuring the new solid-yellow LA logo will also be released ahead of next week’s NFL Draft.
A course correction fans can appreciate
The 2020 rebrand was ambitious but polarizing, and this update reflects a team that clearly listened to its supporters. The move toward a simpler, bolder, more historically grounded identity aligns with a broader trend across the NFL this offseason, as several franchises have leaned into cleaner designs that draw more directly from their histories. The result for the Rams is a look that feels both familiar and forward-facing, built to carry the franchise through its next decade at SoFi Stadium.
