“Sharing a personal update. I’m doing well, many thanks for your support.”
The musician explained that a few years ago, he began experiencing symptoms and went to see a neurologist.

Tom Dumont has an estimated net worth of $30 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
He is best known as a member of the third-wave ska-punk band No Doubt. Today, it comprises drummer Adrian Young, bassist Tony Kanal, and founder/ lead vocalist Gwen Stefani.

Tom Dumont: Life, career, fortune, and more
Thomas Martin Dumont was born in Los Angeles in January 1968. As an infant, he was adopted by the Dumont family of Irvine, California, and was raised with his brother John and his sister Gina.
His father was a pianist who encouraged young Tom to play music. In fact, he gifted his son a guitar when he was only 12. Soon, Dumont began imitating folk musician James Taylor, before moving on to listening to heavy metal bands like KISS, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden.
As a teenager, Tom Dumont briefly joined his sister’s band, The Rising, before quitting it for No Doubt in 1988. During the early days of fame, he studied music theory at Orange Coast College for five semesters, before joining a mortgage company as a file clerk.
It was Tom Dumont who paved the way for No Doubt’s success, as he was both technically and creatively proficient in guitar. Not only that, it was his efforts that made the band shift from its ska roots to punk, rock, reggae, and other new-wave music.
In the mid-1990s, founding member and keyboardist Eric Stefani left No Doubt. This is when Tom Dumont began helping Gwen Stefani and Tony Kanal with songwriting.
The collaboration soon led to the release of the band’s third studio album, Tragic Kingdom, and earned them newfound recognition, including a diamond certification in the USA and selling more than 16 million records globally. Fans know this album for its hit singles Don’t Speak, Spider Webs, and Just a Girl.
With the turn of the century, Tom Dumont helped his band release two more albums, Return of Saturn and Rock Steady.
When No Doubt went on a hiatus in 2005, Dumont decided to become a record producer. In fact, he produced Matt Costa’s debut album, Songs We Sing and founded the group Invincible Overlord with fellow artist Ted Matson.
No Doubt temporarily reunited in the summer of 2009 for a tour and recording of their sixth studio album, Push and Shove. It took another three years to release. In 2015, the members made several public appearances.
In 2016, Tom Dumont reunited with Adrian Young and Tony Kanal to form the synth-pop supergroup Dreamcar and brought in Davey Havok (of AFI) as the lead vocalist. Their self-titled album came out the following year.
Elsewhere, Dumont earned money from surfing and also became a lifelong honorary member of the environmental nonprofit The Surfrider Foundation. He also appeared on a 2009 episode of Gossip Girl with his bandmates and played a fictional band called Snowed Out.
Last October, No Doubt announced their 2026 reunion for a six-show residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas (May 6 to June 13). In this regard, Tom Dumont shared in his latest video:
“It’s been very fun looking through old footage and looking at old photographs and re-learning old songs, and rehearsing, and creating all the video stuff for the screens at the Sphere.”
Dumont mentioned being “excited” to take the stage once again with his former bandmates, adding he can’t wait to see their fans. He also shared his gratitude for the life he has led as a musician and gave a shoutout to his family, friends, and listeners for standing by him and his band over the years.
