Lamon Archey: Days of our Lives’ Lamon Archey faces his worst fear: What’s under the house

In recent months, Days of our Lives fans have been thrilled to see Lamon Archey here and there as Eli Grant. Between investigating chaos with Rafe (Galen Gering) and circling bigger story threads, Archey’s return already has fans waiting to see what’s next. Off-screen, he’s dealing with something far more immediate and frankly more terrifying: what lives under your house… and why no one should ever volunteer to meet it.

Days of our Lives energy meets crawl space terror

Archey shared a video on Instagram, writing, “There are some places I’m just not meant to be. Under the house is DEFINITELY one of them! #HardLabor #BarelyMadeItOutAlive I am now a #GeneralContractor #HireMe.” The video itself plays like a survival documentary narrated by a man who immediately regretted every life choice that led him to a hole in his floor.

He started bravely, pointing out the problem, which was an internet line running under the floor. Archey thought it would be a quick fix and almost instantly transitioned to “oh hell no” once the reality set in. He would have to go into the crawlspace under his home to resolve his issue.

He consulted his phone’s AI assistant, which listed every creature that could be waiting for him, like it’s reading from a horror menu: “Common critters can include spiders, ants, pill bugs, and occasional cockroaches. You may also see centipedes or millipedes that thrive in moist conditions. Larger critters can include rodents like mice or rats if there’s an entry point.” Archey was visibly shaken as the reality set in of what he would encounter. (Check out the DAYS fall preview.)

When bravery looks like complaining the entire time

Archey then donned what looked like hazmat equipment from head to toe and braved the eerie space beneath his house. The entire video was both hilarious and terrifying, especially when the actor emerged, pointing out a bug bite on the one spot on his body that wasn’t covered: his wrist.

The comments met him right there with co-star Paul Telfer (Xander) dropping, “Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.” Linsey Godfrey (Sarah) perfectly summed it up: “Man…I will say this forever…in person Lamon is my favorite Lamon…but internet Lamon is riiiiiiight there next to him.”

Fans went even harder. @brittanylcee quoted his breaking point with, “I wanna go home so bad,” while @kech99 admitted, “Immediately I’d have been like ‘who needs the internet?’ ” And when @loyaldawg517 asked what he saw down there, Archey answered like a man changed: “I. Only. Had. One. Eye. The real question is how many saw ME?”

There’s something oddly heroic about how badly he did not want to do this. Every step came with commentary, every movement sounded like a negotiation with fate, and somehow, he still got the job done.
