Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, episode 4 called “Gloves Off” is going to premiere on Disney+ today, and a teaser has been released. This teaser has peaked fan interest with the highly anticipated Daredevil and Bullseye rematch.
In Season 1, after Bullseye killed Franklin Nelson, aka Matt Murdock’s best friend, Foggy, Daredevil fought Bullseye in a bloody fight which ended with the latter defeated and behind bars.
In Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, as revealed by a clip exclusively released by Entertainment Weekly, Daredevil and Bullseye will face each other once again, and this time Bullseye will be armed with an unexpected weapon.

Bullseye (played by Wilson Bethel) and Daredevil (played by Charlie Cox) have an extremely complicated relationship. Despite being hired by Venessa Fisk to kill Foggy, Bullseye was the one who actually committed the crime, and thus Matt/Daredevil understandably feels an extreme amount of rage against him. Bullseye is the symbol of his pain and the fact that he lost Foggy, and that Foggy was murdered.
Charlie Cox spoke about the relationship in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, stating
“It’s a really complicated relationship.”
He added,
“Wilson’s character this season is very confronting to Matt, who he is and what he represents and what he seems to be trying to do makes it much, much harder for Matt to out-and-out loathe him and hate him,”
In Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, we have already seen Bullseye working against Wildon and Vanessa Fisk because of how Vanessa manipulated him in Season 1. He is trying to form an unlikely alliance with Daredevil as they both have a common enemy now, but that is easier said than done. Before they actually form a temporary truce, Bullseye and Daredevil are going to have a rematch.
As seen in Entertainment Weekly’s exclusive clip of a scene from Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, Bullseye and Daredevil have a rematch and Bullseye takes out a CD from a handheld player to use as his weapon. He throws it at Daredevil who dodges it, but then throws it right back at Bullseye. While the CD doesn’t hit either, it gets stuck on a wall and the fight that follows is physical combat, with Bullseye trying to hit Daredevil with whatever object he can get his hands on. As Daredevil is beating him up pretty well, we see Bullseye say,
“I’m on your side.”
However, Matt could most likely be filled with too much rage to register that statement, or he simply doesn’t believe Bullseye. Ultimately, Bullseye managed to throw one last sharp object at Daredevil to distract him and escape, but we can tell that this isn’t the end of their conflict. We might see them team up to face Fisk, but since they have such contrasting morals, it is highly unlikely that this alliance will last for long.
