The Audacity: Jonathan, Billy, and Sarah share about the story
On AMC+, Jonathan Glatzer, the showrunner and executive producer of the series, says,
“The Audacity takes place at Silicon Valley. I’m not going to say that it’s about Silicon Valley though. It’s about the people.”
He added about the character’s role in the series and said,
“They’re able to tap into something more vulnerable. Because of that, comedy has a little bit of heartbreak to it.”
He continued,
“I also was fortunate enough to work on Better Call Saul and Succession. There was tragedy and there was force. All in the same episode. Sometimes in the same scene.”
Billy Magnussen, who will play the role of Duncan Park in The Audacity, says,
“I think the tech industry, we’re showing a mirror up to the world about it and how the absurdity of it all. The writing’s so good that you want to live up to it.”
Sarah Goldberg, who will play the role of Joanne Felder, says,
“There’s things in the show that feel so out there and then you realize that’s not fiction anymore, that’s reality.”
The Audacity: Zach and Rob share some interesting facts on the series
Zach Galifianakis, who will play Carl Bardolph, says,
“For me, that’s why I was interested in doing the show. I had been thinking about all this stuff before reading these scripts and I feel like this show is kind of validating at least my thoughts about like, where are we headed with this? What is this machine we keep feeding? Well, the characters are fun because they’re maniacs.”
Rob Corddry, who will play Tom Ruffage in The Audacity, says,
“At the most reductive, it’s probably a dramedy. I would underline the drama part more than the midi. Thanks, Zach.”
