On April 2, comedian Theo Von appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast. During the conversation, Von made comments about the political scenario in America, following which Rogan had a suggestion. This all began when they discussed the brutality during the time of Christopher Columbus. Von then commented that whatever was happening in Iran had the potential to come to the country. Rogan said it could.
Joe Rogan then discussed open borders and how people entered the country, posing a risk to the citizens. At this point, Von opined:
“But what also it’s like it’s all just a cat and mouse game. People are like, ‘We’ll elect the Democrats next time.’ It’s like, but it’s all the same sh*t has been happening forever. They haven’t been helping anybody forever. They’re letting f*cking politicians slurp on kids. All of our f*cking money goes to Israel and they’re using it to f*cking genocide people.”
Theo Von then said it was like a situation of living with Satan. Joe Rogan then told Von:
“We got to get you off those anti-depressants, son. You’re losing your f*cking marbles.”
Von asked if that was actually the case, to which Rogan asked him to come and chill with them. The host also said that the difference between America and other places is that the country is “heavily armed,” which poses a difficulty for any other place to take over.
Joe Rogan also said officials have to go through seven weeks of training to work in ICE. Theo Von joked that one got more training to play Tee Ball.
Joe Rogan talks about bombing, while Theo Von shares how he made his upcoming movie
Joe Rogan said that seven weeks of training with ICE felt frightening because it involved carrying guns and going out to arrest people. Theo Von said that things felt more like a show or performance lately, and he felt like something unusual might happen soon.
He also said that many people, including Black communities, were feeling scared after seeing others being treated badly. He added that seeing violent content online, especially involving people from the Middle East, seemed to affect people’s emotions and reactions. Rogan claimed:
“But the idea that this the only way to solve problems is by dropping bombs on people is it’s so crazy that that’s still the move in 2026. but however, if you are faced with an evil dictator that has his eyes on a global caliphate and is developing nuclear bombs, you can’t be all f*cking kumbaya. But the question is like how did how does that get resolved, right?”
Theo Von’s upcoming movie, Busboys, will be released on April 17. Joe Rogan asked him if he financed the movie, and Von replied yes. Von added that they wrote it and did everything by themselves, without any studio being attached to it. When asked what the movie was about, Theo Von said it was about two guys who weren’t doing anything good in life and how they became waiters to win a girl back.
