However, the tale is now being reenacted for TV fans. A new trailer for the sweeping five-part prestige period drama was recently released by Starz, with Will Sharpe portraying Mozart and Paul Bettany as Salieri.
The show examines their famous rivalry set in 18th century Vienna. It is a mix of royal court drama, ambition, and obsession with art, written by Joe Barton, and under the direction of Julian Farino and Alice Seabright.
