Does General Hospital’s Cassius Faison really love Lulu?

General Hospital’s Lulu thinks she has a new boyfriend and his name is Nathan West. Little does she know that Nathan West is dead and buried and hasn’t been seen since 2018. However, Nathan had a twin brother and this week we learned that his name is Cassius Faison.

Cassius Faison is NOT General Hospital the good guy (maybe)

While we didn’t learn everything about Cassius (Ryan Paevey) during his talk with Sidwell (Carlo Rota), we did learn that Nathan West did indeed die in that hospital room eight years ago and Cassius is his twin brother. That means Liesl (Kathleen Gati) gave birth to two boys, but we have yet to learn if she even knew this or not.

Cassius has also been working with Sidwell for quite a while and they seem to be partners. He knows that his sister, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), can cause them trouble, but we are not sure if he is willing to hurt or kill his own sibling. However, we do know he will lie to Sidwell when he has to. And he is lying for altruistic reasons. So, is Cassius a total bad guy or does he have at least some redeeming qualities?

Cassius Faison protects Rocco

During Cassius’ time in Port Charles, he has had everyone fooled into thinking that he is Nathan West. Despite him not caring much about comatose Maxie (Kirsren Storms) and falling for Lulu (Alexa Havins), everyone has fallen for his act. But is the Lulu part an act or does he have genuine feelings for her?

When Sidwell theorized that Sonny (Maurice Benard) had sent Jason to stab Marco (Adrian Anchondo) and shoot Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), Cassius didn’t argue. Instead, he allowed Sidwell to go on believing what he wanted to believe. But Cassius knew the truth because he was there and saw Rocco (Finn Carr) on the pier. He also listened as Lulu told him that Rocco admitted to shooting Cullum.

Cassius could have told Sidwell the truth, but he chose to keep the facts about Cullum’s shooting for himself. That would indicate that Cassius has a heart in there and his heart really does belong to Lulu. He even went back to the pier and found her there, looking as if he wanted to do nothing but comfort her.

Developing feelings for Lulu probably wasn’t part of Cassius’ original plan when he arrived in Port Charles, but he’s not been thrown a curveball that he is going to have to deal with.
