Masters of the Universe is going to be released in theatres on June 5, 2026, and after all the teasers and glimpses at the upcoming film, the official trailer of the film has finally been released.

While Nicholas Galitzine stars as Adam Glenn / He-Man / Prince Adam of Eternia, the trailer revealed Oscar winner Jared Leto as Skeletor. He is a sorcerer who has conquered Eternia and wants to conquer the whole universe. Here’s everything the trailer revealed.

Masters of the Universe features Jared Leto as Skeletor among others

Written by Adam Nee, Chris Butler, David Callaham, and Aaron Nee, Masters of the Universe is a film about He-Man and belongs to the Masters of the Universe created by Mattel. The trailer opens with the revelation that a young Prince Adam of Eternia was sent light-years away to Earth when Eternia was at war. While he does remember what happened and who he is, he is able to return to his home planet only after fifteen years.

Upon return, Adam realises that the place he knew as home is now destroyed. Skeletor (played by Jared Leto) has not only killed Adam’s parents but also destroyed his world. He feels guilty for not being able to protect his people and the land he belongs to, but is reminded by Duncan / Man-At-Arms, Adam’s father’s trusted general, to yield the Power Sword, stand tall, and fight back.

Skeletor, on the other hand, isn’t satisfied by just destroying Eternia. He wants to be the master of the rest of the universe as well. But Adam will take his form of He-Man, the most powerful being in the universe, and face Skeletor in what looks like an epic battle. The synopsis of the film, according to Amazon MGM Studios, is,
