OPPO is preparing to introduce its next set of flagship smartphones in China, confirming a launch event on April 21 at 7 pm local time. The company will unveil the Find X9 Ultra alongside the Find X9s Pro, with a parallel imaging-focused presentation in collaboration with Hasselblad, pointing to a continued emphasis on camera performance.

Early teasers suggest a clear distinction in how the two devices are being positioned. The Find X9 Ultra appears designed as a full-scale flagship with a layered camera approach, while the Find X9s Pro brings similar imaging intent into a more compact form.
Details circulating ahead of the launch indicate that the Ultra model will carry a quad-camera system built around multiple focal lengths rather than a single dominant sensor. The setup is expected to include a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor offering 10x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens.
The 10x zoom system is said to rely on a redesigned prism structure, extending up to 120x through digital zoom. More notably, OPPO appears to be focusing on consistency between lenses, with reports suggesting each unit undergoes calibration during manufacturing to maintain alignment and uniform output across devices.
Beyond imaging, the Find X9 Ultra’s specifications place it firmly in flagship territory. It is expected to feature a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO OLED display, run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and include a battery exceeding 7,000mAh.
The Find X9s Pro takes a different route without stepping away from performance priorities. OPPO has confirmed dual 200-megapixel sensors for its primary and telephoto cameras, an uncommon choice for a smaller device. The phone is expected to carry a 6.32-inch OLED display, powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset, along with a battery close to 7,000mAh.
This approach stands out in a segment where compact phones often trade off battery size or zoom capability. Here, OPPO appears to be aiming for a balance between portability and endurance.
There are also early indications of a wider rollout. The Find X9 Ultra has surfaced on BIS certification, which typically points to a possible launch in India, although no official timeline has been confirmed.

For now, pricing remains undisclosed, leaving a key part of the equation open. The difference in positioning between the two models is clear, but how they are received will likely depend on how OPPO translates these specifications into real-world performance once the devices move beyond China.
