Logan Paul issued a tongue-in-cheek apology to Tom Brady after their playful trash-talk carried onto the field during a celebrity flag football matchup featuring stars like Jalen Hurts and Joe Burrow.
The internet personality-turned-wrestler, 30, took to his official X/Twitter account to deliver a half-hearted apology to the 48-year-old pro footballer, saying:
“I’d like to apologize to Tom Brady for applying so much pressure on you play after play after play that had you literally fearing for your life. I understand you’re older; it’s not like you could go anywhere, and you got frustrated, which is why you threw the ball at me. And I want you to know that I forgive you for that, because that’s what real men do.”
Just a few days before the game, Brady — never one to hold back — said he wasn’t sure Logan had what it takes and joked that the global entertainment company was “cute.”
“I’m actually a little worried for you. I love WWE. It’s very cute. But honestly, this is like real football. This is real competition.”
Neither of Logan Paul’s nor Tom Brady’s teams secured the win, which ultimately went to Team USA, but the influencer trash-talked Brady, who was inducted as the 35th person into the Patriots Hall of Fame in 2024 in a first-of-its-kind and sold-out ceremony.
Logan Paul gives a half-hearted apology to Jalen Hurts
During the game, Logan Paul also managed to sack quarterback Jalen Hurts, proving his skills and a thorn in Tom Brady’s side.
In his backhanded apology, Paul said:
“I’d like to apologize to Jalen Hurts for sacking you and later deflecting a pass that then got intercepted by my team, allowing us to score on the very next possession. If you get traded or your contract gets cut down, now we know why, and it’s probably pretty embarrassing.”
Logan Paul concluded his playful 1-minute video with yet another trolling for everyone.
“And lastly, I want to apologize to everyone that said that I was not a great athlete because you all look stupid as hell right now. Thank you.”
A man of many hats, Paul is a vlogger, professional wrestler, entrepreneur, boxer, singer, and actor. He is currently signed to WWE and performs on Raw.
His not-so-loving apology video has now garnered over 1.5 million views, while the replies lit up with mixed comments; some mocking him, others praising his comedic skills.
