Marshals Episode 4 recap: Randall Clegg files a complaint against Kayce

In the last episode, Kayce fired a gun at one of the Clegg brothers during the protest. However, Randall Clegg doesn’t let it go so easily and files a complaint against Kayce, saying his son was unarmed when he was shot and that the use of force was not justified.
The news was delivered by Chief U.S. Marshal Harry Gifford. Because of the claim, Kayce is put off duty until the matter is fully looked into. Harry Gifford orders the team to start finding more details into the investigation and see if they can find some proper evidence. The team comprises Belle Skinner, Tatanka Means, and Andrea Cruz.
However, the investigation takes a turn after the team finds out that the man shot at the protest was close to Monica, Kayce’s wife, who died of cancer. As they dig further, they also learn about a past incident where Kayce rescued Tate from a militia with the ranch hands, which wasn’t fully legal since John Dutton was in a government role then.
While things start to turn against Kayce, the team finds footage that clearly shows Carson Clegg firing first, proving Kayce used the gun in self-defense.
Marshals Episode 4 recap: Kayce goes on a rescue mission

Kayce is asked by Pete Calvin to join him on a rescue mission to find Rancher Tom Weaver.
During the rescue mission, Pete and Kayce also meet a homeless man, who turns out to be Rudy Carpenter. Carpenter is a serial bomb killer who has been hiding for three years. However, they are successfully able to keep him away and not hamper the mission.
The two finally find Weaver at the site, but before they can help him and the pilot, a bear shows up. Kayce manages to drive it away, but not before it jerks the helicopter, leading to the pilot’s death. At the same time, Weaver’s leg is trapped in the seats, creating another challenge for them. As a solution, he decided to set his leg by force.
Weaver praises John Dutton, and later Kayce helps him with his land, leading Weaver to offer support in return.
A secret about Pete comes out
After the rescue mission is successfully done and the team is able to clear Kayce’s name from the filed complaint, the team goes to a bar to enjoy the moment. Kayce introduces Dolly to the team. Dolly is the daughter of Tom Weaver, whom Pete and Kayce rescued during the helicopter crash.
At the same time, another secret is revealed by Pete, who says that Maddie is his daughter. Maddie works as a bartender, and Pete decided to take the job so that he could be near his daughter.
The Marshals episode 4 hints at a possible new bond for Kayce, as he shares a small moment with Dolly and says “maybe” when she asks him to show her around Montana.
