If you’re still on the second season of Beauty in Black and you’re wondering what’s next for Kimmie, then we have good news. The third season for the show was already confirmed in December even before the sophomore season’s second part dropped.
The catch is that season 3 will be the last one as Netflix has confirmed it’s the final chapter, and Tyler Perry has teased that the show will go out with quite a bang.
No premiere date has been announced yet, but the first two seasons of Beauty in Black landed in October 2024 and September 2025 respectively, so somewhere around fall 2026 is probably a reasonable guess. Netflix has only said it’s “coming soon,” which tells us absolutely nothing but at least confirms it’s actually happening.
If you need a quick refresher on where things stand, Season 2 of Beauty in Black ended with Kimmie, Mallory, and Horace pulling off an iconic move. The three of them walked into a boardroom and essentially handed the rest of the Bellarie family to the FBI. Roy, Charles, Norman, Olivia, all of them exposed and it was simply iconic.

Taylor Polidore Williams, who plays Kimmie, has opened up on what’s coming as she’s described Season 3 as the moment her character finally gets to stop fighting just to survive and actually start playing the game on her own terms. Two seasons of watching Kimmie get knocked down and get back up, and Season 3 is apparently where all of that pays off. The question Williams keeps raising is that can she actually hold onto to the spot when she reaches it. She has also teased that we’ll see more of Kimmie and Mallory as she said,
“When I read that in the script I was like, finally! Kimmie and Mallory have spent the whole season circling each other, but they’re also two of the smartest players in the room.”
Crystle Stewart, who plays Mallory, has already teased some things. She’s been teasing that the drama and power struggles are only going to get messier, and that characters are going to be pushed into places they haven’t been before. Speaking to Tudum she has said,
“A lot of truths come to light, and the characters start realizing that the game they’ve been playing is even bigger and more dangerous than they thought. What I love about those final episodes is that they leave the audience at a moment where everything feels like it’s about to explode. Alliances are shifting, motivations are being revealed, and the characters are forced to confront the consequences of the choices they’ve made.”
We don’t yet know who will be starring in the final season but hopefully most of the cast returns.
