Chuck Norris’s death was met with a message from Donald Trump, who shared his sympathy and talked about the late actor’s toughness and support.
During his meeting with the press on Friday, Mar. 20, Donald Trump talked about Chuck Norris’s reputation as he left the White House.
“I thought he was a great guy. He was a great guy. He was a really good tough cookie.”
The POTUS continued:
“You didn’t want to fight him, I can tell you. He was a tough, great guy. A great supporter. Wow, that’s too bad.”
Norris died at the age of 86. His family announced the news of his death on Thursday. The announcement was made on Instagram.
“It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning.”
Chuck Norris’s family went on to praise the A Force of One icon’s acting journey and his life with his family.
“To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family. He lived his life with faith, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved.”
The family concluded:
“Through his work, discipline, and kindness, he inspired millions around the world and left a lasting impact on so many lives.”
Chuck Norris’ death: Celebrities pay tribute after his passing at 86
Besides Donald Trump, other Hollywood stars have also paid tribute to Chuck Norris after the legendary actor died at the age of 86.
One of the stars is the veteran actor Sylvester Stallone. He shared a picture of him with the late Chuck Norris taken when they both starred in the movie The Expendables 2 in 2012. He wrote:
“I had a great time working with Chuck. He was All American in every way. Great man and my condolences to his wonderful family.”
Jean-Claude Van Damme, who also starred in the same movie as Norris, paid tribute to the late actor on his social media page with a picture of them.
“Deepest condolences on the passing of my friend, Chuck Norris. We knew each other from my early days, and I always respected the man he was. My heart and prayers are with his family. He will never be forgotten.”


Judson Mills, who starred in Walker, Texas Ranger with the late actor, penned a lengthy tribute on Instagram, praising Norris as “quiet, humble, kind, wise, and gentle.” He added:
“A giant among men who somehow always made you feel completely at ease, like he was just one of the gang. A true gentleman in every sense of the word. An American hero.”
Mills went on:
“My years in Dallas with him and Aaron rank among the greatest highlights of my life. A true honor. There is something special that happens when you shoot a television show together every day — you form a bond unlike any other — and what we built on the set of ‘Walker, Texas Ranger’ was something I will treasure forever. I will never forget you Chuck. Or what the Norris family did for me.”
