Rivers is adding two new titles to his resume; those handles are “executive producer” and “director.” The actor is going to make his directorial debut this spring in the film The Housekeeper’s Code.

The movie is a fun, upbeat romantic comedy in which Rivers also stars as Jamal Stephens, a tech-savvy businessman, who is in Atlanta, ready to close a deal set to net him billions!

Complications ensue when Jamal finds himself in an unexpected love triangle with Erica Deveraux (played by Bea. W. Bliss), and his ex, Tina Mitchelle (Crystal Lee Naomi, Tyler Perry’s Sistas).

The Housekeeper’s Code is scheduled to go into production in Atlanta later this month. Rivers will be producing this film under the banner of his production company, Dirty Boots Films, LLC.

RIP, Damian Kane

Rivers made his Y&R debut in February 2025 as Damian Kane, the biological son of Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford) and the late Nathan Hastings (Nathan Purdee). Amy had revealed to Nate (Sean Dominic) that she had given birth to his older half-brother after she left Genoa City in the 1980s.

Damian was hesitant to meet his half-brother, so he sent his pal, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens), to town to pose as Damian so he could figure out if Nate and his family were on the up and up.

Later, the real Damain arrived and revealed himself. There was a lot of baggage to unpack. Damian connected with Nate, and he also made amends with his mom, Amy. It was revealed that Damian Kane worked for the enigmatic Aristole Dumas, who, in reality, was Cane Ashby, now played by Billy Flynn.

Alas, he made a fateful decision to accompany Lily (Christel Khalil), Cane’s ex, to his gala in Nice, France. Lily and Damian consummated their relationship in France, but their newfound happiness was short-lived.

Cane’s misguided and unbalanced aide, Carter (Vincent Stalba), wanted to do anything to make his boss happy. To that end, he threw a knife into Damian’s back in an attempt to remove him from Lily’s life, paving the way for Cane to reunite with Lily.

More tragedy followed as Chance (Conner Floyd) tried to save Lily after Carter took her at gunpoint in a panic. Chance died in a struggle with Carter after his gun went off. Then, Carter killed himself.

Damian’s memorial took place off camera. Could the character ever come back? Never say never in the world of soaps!
