Kidd and Vasquez team up to solve a car crash puzzle in Chicago Fire Season 14 Episode 15
The big call in Chicago Fire Season 14 Episode 15 centred on a car accident. Kidd and Vasquez respond to a car crash where the vehicle is stuck in fresh concrete. The injured person in the driver’s seat (Adam) seems to have a mild concussion. Things look suspicious to Kidd and Vasquez as there are fresh footprints in the concrete, hinting at the presence of another victim on the passenger’s seat, who likely fled the scene after the crash. Additionally, they saw a backpack in the back seat, which doesn’t seem to belong to Adam, but he insists he was alone. Even after returning to the firehouse, Vasquez and Kidd are not convinced by Adam’s claims and decide to check up on him at the hospital. However, Adam maintains that he was alone and shows signs of a concussion when the duo presses him for further information.
Lucy comes to Kidd and Vasquez’s rescue in Chicago Fire Season 14 Episode 15, tracking the backpack that leads them to a college girl named Claire via her student ID. Claire confesses she was in the passenger seat. After the crash, Adam insists that she flee because it could ruin her future at West Point, her dream school. Kidd contemplates reporting Claire but the situation hits close to home for Vasquez, with his failed police career. He convinces Kidd not to report Claire and in return, she motivates him to rethink his decision to join the police academy.
Things take a turn in Chicago Fire Season 14 Episode 15 when Adam drops by the firehouse to apologize and the duo notices his burn scar. Since the scar is on the opposite side of his body, it was Claire who was actually driving the car when it crashed. Kidd and Vasquez cannot let this detail slide and mention it in their report, which will likely earn her only a misdemeanor.

Another subplot in Chicago Fire Season 14 Episode 15 revolved around Herrmann’s commercial. Uncle Larry asked Herrmann to film a commercial but he was hesitant at first. He eventually came around and even learned his big monologue and lines with great pain. Herrmann was initially intimidated by the big film crew but he ended up nailing his lines. When Mouch, Herrmann, Violet and Kidd gathered in Molly’s to watch the commercial, they were disappointed to discover that Herrmann’s monologue was cut out but the firefighter was content that he at least had the tagline.
